"This is a lovely, modern hotel within walking distance of Sterkrade and it's shopping centre & facilities. It has a very clean/fresh feel, the staff are lovely, the beds comfortable and the garden/patio area is fab. Prices are decent, too :-) I came to Oberhausen to visit family so I did not have the need to use the restaurant but again, it looks great. There is a reasonably sized hotel car par but in the week I was there I only managed to get a space once. Free public car park opposite the hotel & free street parking filled the gap. Oberhausen is my home town and I will certainly be visiting again in future. This hotel will be my number one choice."

"Absolutely great hotel to stop in. We were there overnight, 5 adults in 3 rooms; 1 was a disabled member of the family. The staff were fantastic at sorting out the rooms and the following mornings breakfast arrangements. The rooms were clean and everything was there that should’ve been. The only pair of annoying things that were missing was: 1) coffee & tea making facilities in each room; 2) Air conditioning. The night we stayed was nearly 30C and we slept with the balcony door wide open, unfortunately some of the local bugs decided I was going to be their banquet for the night. "

The bathroom was also immaculate and well-stocked with toiletries. The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, as it was close to the Düsseldorf International Airport. The hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The restaurant and bar were also great, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Van der Valk Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Düsseldorf. The combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms, and great location make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers."
