LOCATION: Our cabin is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, and half a mile from the village. Enjoy a lovely walk to breakfast, or to grab coffee. BEDROOM 1: Large bedroom, with king size bed | BEDROOM 2: Open loft area with a king size bed, no door, and a workspace l BEDROOM 3: Queen bed (downstairs) – great for kids or extra guests OUTDOOR LIVING: Fire pit, gas BBQ, S\`more sticks, outdoor furniture, large fenced yard. KITCHEN: Well-equipped, cooking basics & spices, Traditional coffee maker, French press & Grinder, full size oven, full size fridge, and also a coffee bar Water Filter: We have a Brita water filter available at the cabin. INDOOR LIVING: Wood burning fireplace, smart flat-screen TV, Central A/C, dining area for 6, open floor plan GENERAL: Towels, linens, toiletries, pack-n-play upon request PARKING: There is space for a maximum of two vehicles in the driveway. BACKYARD BUILDING: We are still working on making our backyard fully kid friendly, however please do not let the kiddos into the future playhouse. PET POLICY: Blue Jay Hideaway is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size. Guests will have full access to the cabin, other than a few locked cabinets. When I walk past with my dogs I hope to be able to wave to you. We are available for any issues as we live right down the street (: Quiet neighborhood close to the village with great mountain views. Everything in the village is walk-able. Only a few blocks from town to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping to support the locals. A 4 minute drive to Mountain High for skiing and snowboarding. We\`re happy to share local tips and advice about our mountain. If you have any questions during your stay, we are one text or phone call away. We can occasionally offer early check-in or late check-out, depending on the reservation ahead of and after your stay. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out just let us know. Late checkout runs about $20 per hour. FIREPLACE: Please do not light a fire if you are not familiar with how to; always keep the screen up! We supply one Duraflame log per winter night (starting 21st December). If you know how to build a fire and want to add a log NEVER add more than one piece of wood to the Duraflame. NEVER LEAVE THE CABIN IF YOU HAVE A LIVE FIRE. We have an ash bucket on the rock deck for cold ashes. \+ Please check the weather prior to your stay so you can be properly prepared. We are in an area that can get hot in the summer, very cold in the winter and can experience high winds. We will not issue refunds for weather issues, or road closures that are out of our control. \+ When visiting a mountain town, it\`s important to be aware that you may encounter various types of insects and bugs due to the natural environment. No refunds will be issued, though we make every effort to manage pest control. \+ We strongly encourage purchasing travelers insurance, especially in the winter months. We understand that this is a non-smoking property and that we will be charged $250 for any evidence left from smoking of any kind 3\. We will respect the 9 pm - 9 am \`quiet time\` outside 4\. We are allowed to ask: Is the assistance animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the animal has been trained to perform. If I bring a service animal, I agree that I cannot leave it alone at any time. 9\. I understand Wrightwood has septic tanks and they are very sensitive. The extras everywhere added that special something to the place. Like the dog treats , bowls and blankets. The fire logs ready to use inside. All the soaps needed in shower. The use of washer dryer. The coffee area with coffee and filters. The main thing about this house, especially a family with dogs traveling, is the fenced in backyard. It’s huge and my bigger dog just loved running around in the snow. The teens loved making snow angels, snowman building and snow ball fight. We even had snow… in May! My grandsons had so much fun and the three-year-old cried when we were packing up to go home. He did not want to leave! They played Corn Hole every day and not only was there a trunk full of games that we all enjoyed, there was a basket of toys for our dog to enjoy as well. Loved the other little thoughtful touches such as packaged toothbrush kits for the boys and roasting sticks for the fire pit.
