"The Island had everything we had hoped for when booking. Yes there are "extra" fees for parking, resort fee, beach chair/umbrella rental etc but most oceanfront properties had the same. I booked here because I wanted an experience, not just a place to sleep. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. It's an older resort, but our room was modern and comfortable. The multitude of swimming pools was nice. Overall the vibe was definitely an Island one. If you're on a strict budget, do your homework on the extra fees. I was fully aware ahead of time so wasn't shocked. The breakfast option is definitely worth the money. The beach is exquisite and very clean. I highly recommend this resort and will stay here again.Joanha in the gift shop is a true gem also...loved her spirit and lively attitude. The wristlet room key...FINALLY a key i could keep up with. Fabulous idea."

"Beautiful Hotel with poor service. We tried to use the hotel business computer but no one on staff had the password. Informed it was broken but the open page asked for a user name and password. We stayed for a week and our bed was made up only one time, one day we had no cleaning service or clean towels or in our room. I had to go to the front desk because no one answered the phone. I asked for towels, 30 minutes later I had to go back down to the front desk to ask for towels again, because once again no one answered the phone. There was sand all over the floor which was never vacuumed up the entire time we were there. We tried to get coffee from the kitchen one evening which we were told we don't fix coffee in the evening. I'm retired military and used to stay at Embassy Suites every time I went TDY. Judging this hotel's standards things have changed not in a good way."

"Stayed at Comfort Inn in Destin and had a really good experience! Q The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient to everything. Breakfast was a nice bonus and the overall stay was comfortable and relaxing. Great option for a Destin trip without breaking the bank!"

"The resort is excellent and the fact that there are various restaurants on property makes it so that you do not need to leave. The staff are efficient and this new concept they have adapted that you can text them what you need makes it a 100% easier to get things handled during the stay. Bell service was mega efficient, you call, they show up in minutes and were very friendly. The reason I won't give it a 5 star review is due to 2 reasons. 1, carpet in the entire room just does not work. It was extremely dirty, and sticky from past use. My son sat on the floor with light colored cloth and when he stood up there was a dark spot on his clothes. We could not walk bare footed on this carpet. They need to upgrade and remove the carpet ASAP. Two, the house keeping would not change our sheets during the stay .. they would just tidy up the sheets and not replace them. My kids bunk beds were missed 3 times during our 5 night stay. Yet we saw other rooms open as we walked the hall and noticed other rooms beds were done correctly, however ours was not. Even after asking to get it corrected. Still was not done. Also be prepared to spend $50 a day for 2 beach chairs and umbrella. Overall, even with this 2 negatives points i made, it does not take away from the amazing experience we had during our vacation."

"Honestly, the place is very rundown and falling apart. The main lobby looked nice, but as soon as we started heading towards our room, we knew we got tricked. Roaches everywhere, stains and water damage everywhere. Honestly would have rather stayed at a cheap motel it was so bad. Now we're having to dispute random charges to our card from the "coffee shop" that we never even went to. Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs. 2nd time we've been duped by Wyndham and won't ever use them again."
