When we contacted the host, he said this happens and he already knew about it, and there was poison in the kitchen. He never apologized or offered to make it right. We ended up leaving early due to the number of mice that we saw. The house was also left unlocked for multiple hours before we checked in with keys visible on the counter. There's a big backyard, with separate areas for a fire pit, grilling, eating, and playing. Fabulous!Just as important, it was very clean and well-maintained. Craig, the owner, was very responsive to our questions. We appreciated his friendly and fast response.Since this home is in an actual community, there is a very homey, welcoming atmosphere. We came to Adams, WI, (drove from Arkansas) for the week between Christmas and New Year's. Getting the VRBO for a week was the best way to see our kids and host a Christmas dinner. Some kids visited for the day. A couple spent the night. There was seating for all at dinner. The kitchen had all the cookware and tableware we needed. All appliances work. The bedrooms are far enough from the living areas so that noise doesn't keep people awake. There are beds for sleeping 9 people, along with numerous (4?) couches. The enclosed front porch would make a wonderful place to do computer work or sewing.Furniture is not new. Some seems mismatched. None of those were a problem for me. Lots of room for the 8 of us. Very clean. Very close to activities. We ate in town twice, food was great and within walking distance. The host met us at check in and walked through everything. Plenty of room and short drive to Wisconsin dells. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room for 8 people!!! Craig was quick to respond and very helpful!! Was gonna let us stay an extra night due to our other place being cancelled due to weather with short notice!!! Will definatley be back when up that way way! Everything we needed in the kitchen was there for us to use, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and cared for. The check in was easy. There were no check out instructions for us, so we did what we have done in the past, took out the trash, stripped the beds, etc. We would stay there again. ##### Judi A.
