The cabin was large enough for our entire group ranging from 1yr old to 36\. It was spacious and welcoming. Our only complaint was at night the house would get much colder as it seemed some of the windows weren't completely sealed so it would let in a lot of cold air. However the bedding and beds were comfortable enough to keep you warm. We had a minor incident with the hot tub but once we called the reservation line, they had someone come out within the hour to fix it. Aug 7, 2023 #### Fantastic Our family of 16 found Timber Top to be a perfect spot for a family gathering. The layout met the needs of all ages from 2 to 79\. The teenagers loved the lower level for pool and ping pong playing plus the bunk area. All the rooms were large so we had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped which made it easy to prepare all of our meals. In all of the rentals we've had, this was the best kitchen. The deck off the kitchen was great for morning coffee and watching the afternoon thunder storms roll in. . A bonus was having the trails just down the road from the house. The trailhead led to many trail options for hiking and mountain biking. Winter Park Escape was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. We gathered here for a week with our children, spouses and 7 grandchildren from Tennessee and Scotland. Everyone felt so at home and comfortable. The biggest hit was the bunk room for the 7 young ones. At first we were worried because they all wanted to stay in that room but it appeared to only sleep 6\. To our surprise, the twin 8 year olds found that their bunk had a pass through that was a perfect fit for their 5 year old brother. We made him a very comfortable little nest in his little cubby. The 16 and 14 year olds loved being at the top. The other 4 bedrooms were roomy, comfortable and had huge closets.We had planned on eating out but the gourmet kitchen beckoned to this family full of foodies. We cooked some wonderful meals on the griddle, grill, etc. Everything we needed was available. It is a perfectly stocked kitchen.There was so much to do including pool, ping pong, darts, video games, board games, jacuzzi etc, we sometimes had trouble getting the family to want to leave the house.We did to tubing in Golden on our way from Denver, Horseback riding at the Rusty Spur Ranch (highly recommend), hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, Alpine Slide, Gondola rides, miniature golf, rock climbing, and ropes course etc, shopping and ice cream in Grand Lake, hiking Mammoth Lake, summiting Gray’s and and Torry’s Peaks, driving Trail Ridge, and a rodeo in Frazer. ##### Lorraine F. We enjoyed our stay at Timber Top Lodge! It is a beautiful, luxurious home with all the amenities you could want! We couldn't get over how huge everything was...tall ceilings, enormous rooms, big furniture, etc. It felt like a house for giants! The hot tub was nice, though we were frustrated that the lid blocks the view, when it's up! The fireplaces looked amazing, but when on - made the house so hot that unfortunately, we couldn't ever use them. Bummer! The bunk room is crazy - with 6 bunks that are almost like forts. Kids loved it, but it also seemed pretty dangerous with the height and slippery stairs. Would recommend adding some safety features. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, though one of the oven's is out of service. Good thing they had 2 ovens! 2 dishwashers too! Only thing missing was the personal chef included... :) Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great views all around and hiking trails that met right up to the property. The home was perfect for all ages, there was something to do for everyone! It was very comfortable with many living spaces for all ages. The kids loved the ping pong/pool table and game room as well as the bunk room!!
