When it comes time to start planning the vacation to end all vacations in the beauty of our Rocky Mountain village of Winter Park, choosing our Lakota Timberland Luxury Home #270, offering 6 magnificent bedrooms, 5 spacious and spa-like baths and room enough for as many as 14 people to live together in peace and harmony. Luxury materials throughout include hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and high end fixtures, electronics, and appliances that will enhance your vacation experience. And because a party of 14 can get to be a bit too much people-y at times, everyone has their own space to retreat to at the end of the day, spaces in which the comforts include 2 KING BEDS, 3 QUEEN BEDS, 6 TWIN BEDS AND A PACK AND PLAY PORTABLE CRIB.

Perched at the top of a hill with the mountains and meadows of Winter Park spread out behind, #270 presents a welcoming presence to weary travelers who have finally reached their journey's destination point. Enter through the double doors that are at the front of the house and step into a space that blends country charm with modern conveniences and all the comforts of home. Vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows keep the open concept space light and bright and wood floors with radiant in floor heating provide a luxurious pathway to the living room where a comfortably rumpled leather sofa takes up residence. An impressive stone fireplace, flanked by a built-in bookshelf filled with books on one side and a 55-inch smart television on the other, creates warmth and romance in this welcoming room.

French Doors off the dining area lead out to a deck filled with views, more seating options, and a barbecue grill which provides an alternative method of cooking that everyone is sure to enjoy. The dining room table is a large piece of furniture surrounded by eight cushioned chairs that will be comfortable when you spend long portions of your vacation hours playing board games, devouring meals, or laughing at old stories you hadn't thought of in years told by cousins you haven't seen in almost as long.

The kitchen of #270 offers the impression of a French chateaux, featuring custom cabinetry, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar at the island that seats four more guests. Name brand appliances are fronted by pieces that match the cabinets (with the exception of the beautiful gas range which offers two ovens and a stainless steel finish) disappearing into the mix, and delicate glass pendant lamps hang from a curved track keeping the room bright after the sun goes down.

The main level of the home also offers a quiet den area with a comfortable surprise. Sink into the soft chair and sofa that takes up floor space and spend quiet moments reading and relaxing and when you finish that last chapter and are ready for bed, a murphy bed hidden behind the cabinet front opposite pulls down! The queen size bed features a premium mattress and is soft, comfortable, and destined to ensure a good night's sleep. Access to a full bath with a walk-in glass-doored shower and a vessel sink topping a country styled cabinet in painted in shades of cream ensure make this tranquil room feel like a master suite.

The first of two master suites (this home is ideal for multiple families traveling together) both with king beds. The first suite is a spacious room in which the king bed features a padded headboard that is comfortable to lie back against as you watch the 40-inch smart television each night before going to sleep. A stone fireplace makes the room even more special and French doors leading out to the deck will bring moments of peace and breathtaking views. Fine hotel quality toiletries are provided for the guest's use and will be found sitting on the double vanity in the ensuite bath. Offering both a glass walled walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub in which some of the best moments of your vacation will happen as you soak, sip, and savor the quiet moments away from the people-y world beyond the doors.

A separate home office provides a printer and a place to hook up your laptop for those moments when you can't completely stay away from work or school and an oversized leather chair invites you to sink into its depths and lose yourself in the words on the pages of the latest bestseller.

Lakota Timberland is a home that keeps giving and a second great room, located on the lower level, is another example of its hospitality. A full-sized pool table shares center stage with a leather seating area that faces a third fireplace and another 55-inch smart TV. In one corner of this great space, you will find a generously proportioned wet bar offering three swivel barstools fronting the granite countertops, a dishwasher, small sink, and microwave perfect for popping popcorn while watching the big game.

This level is also where you will find the first of two bunk rooms, this one featuring a solo queen bed and twin over twin bunk beds. Adult siblings will enjoy taking a step back in time and sharing this space which offers everything you need for a good night's sleep, including access to a full bath with a tub shower combo and a single vanity.

The second master suite is anchored by a generously sized king bed and includes its own entrance to a private patio. Sit out here on warmer mornings with a cup of coffee in hand and watch the world wake up around you. The en suite bath offers a glass doored walk-in shower that is beautifully tiled and has a small shelf in the corner for your toiletries.

Bedroom 5 is the second bunk room, this one containing two sets of twin over twin bunk beds. A full bath with walk-in shower and single vanity is located just across the hall, close enough that night time urgent matters of business don't develop into nighttime emergencies for the very young.

And although we have reached the 6th and final bedroom, containing a queen bed and a tranquil ambience that promises good dreams to all who sleep here, the home still has so much more to explore. This final bedroom also has its own ensuite bath, this one with a tub shower combo and a spa like atmosphere.

A laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer, cabinets, ski storage, and a bench placed against one wall for easy boot removal is elegant enough to give you a pleasant surprise. The two-car garage is meant to be used by guests and is also where bikes are stored; long bike rides through the mountains will bring you beautiful memories as it builds up your calf muscles in preparation for more labor-intensive winter sports.

Outside, there are many options for enjoying the tranquility of Winter Park throughout the seasons. Multiple levels of decks provide additional seating and dining spaces, the aforementioned barbecue grill, and a hot tub that bubbles merrily one of the decks. Disclosures
The majority of the properties in the Winter Park area do not have A/C due to the cooler climate. The resort base closes during the off seasons in the spring and fall but the downtown area remains open year round.
