There was lots to like, a functional "tweak" needed, and one thing I wish I'd known. I liked: how clean the property was, the screened in gazebo for eating outside, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, and proximity to Leamington, Point Pelee National Park, and Wheatley Provincial Park. I liked the dark finishes in the kitchen, however the lighting is not very functional. The lighting fixtures concentrate the light directly over the sink and directly over the island, but the stove and the countertop are in darkness, even with the blinds open. A different sort of fixture is needed to give more overall light. I wish I'd known that September to January is waterfowl hunting season at Hillman Marsh Conservation area and the North Beach is closed, something I discovered Saturday morning when I walked down to the beach hoping to go for a walk. It also explained the loud bangs that scared me out of bed very early that morning (fortunately not heard any other time that weekend). I would definitely stay again, but perhaps in the summer so that I could take advantage of the nearby beach.
