We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cloverley and would book to stay there again. On the plus side it had a wonderful view, obscured a bit by the trees, depending on when you stay. The place was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. It was close to Bowness without being in a busy thoroughfare. We could easily access the shops, restaurants and a number of walks nearby. On the down side Colverley might be described as partially done up in that the lounge and bathroom are modern. The kitchen and bedrooms on the other hand, whilst well equipped, are dated. This didn't affect our stay at all. The other consideration is that there is a steep hill to walk up from Bowness which would not suit those who are not fit or have more limited mobility. Whilst this was a bit of a challenge on the first couple of days, we were used to it by the end of the week. All in all we had a great time. Large shower room with fantastic power shower, plenty of shelf space and large mirror. Very comfortable beds with crisp white cotton bedding. Loads of drawer and hanging space. Well equipped kitchen with a large fridge freezer and double oven gas cooker. Cloverley has all the things we hope for in self catering accommodation. It is in a quiet spot yet the bustling centre of Bowness is a short walk downhill.
