Nicer hotel. Felt safe and was clean. The check in clerk was okay but quick and brusk with instructions. Not overly friendly. She was more interested in another employee who was trying to talk with her at the same time.

Our stay was great. There was one problem (a light in the bathroom were not working), but the staff changed us to another room right away. Everything else was good, the room was very clean and attractive, breakfast was great, and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We recommend the hotel highly.

Happily surprise by the facility. Rooms are surprisingly spacious with high ceilings, which I appreciated,the bathroom clean and modern. All La Quintas should be like this one!

Our fourth stay here on way to and from New Orleans to visit family. Always clean and quiet, uniquely decorated rooms, nice hot breakfast buffet.

The rooms are set up very strange; however there was plenty to off set this bizarre set up. Let me explain further about the room. The bathroom shower, and sink are all behind the bed. The set up is very much like that of a European hotel room and that is very modern and very space conscious. Hotel opted to go modern throughout the entire building. This is kind of strange when you’re in Winchester, and you’re there to enjoy the mountains and history. The bathroom door has a sliding door. You don’t really feel like you ever have any privacy. There is a glass partition inside of the shower , so anyone in the bedroom could see the outline of the person showering. The bed was comfortable. The room is very clean. The AC unit as any hotel, was very noisy. Overall, the hotel was quiet, very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We opted for this hotel on a whim, and we definitely use it again if we’re looking for the jets to position between European , modern styles and the Rolling hills of historic Winchester.

Hello, I am sorry that you don't enjoy our modern design. While we have not tried to emulate the mountains surrounding Winchester we do have local art throughout and murals of the downtown library and other areas.

Very clean. Sadly the shower handle in the accessible shower was not working and I was unable to take to shower. Reported to front desk and was told I would have to turn both the diverter and water knobs together. Cannot do that due to my disability. If the shower had worked, this would be a 5-star review because everything else was delightful.

My key card kept not working, and there was multiple cosmetic damages in the room prior to our arrival. Housekeeping also never took the overflowing trash after the first night.

The room was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Felt safe inside and outside the facility except when had to park at the owner’s house which is right next door but had to walk down the block and around the side of the house in the dark…no lights, good thing jad flashlight on phone.

Dogs in adjoining rooms barked almost all night. There were limited floors where pets were not allowed (1 out of 5) I believe. As well, breakfast was available from 7:00 am, rather late for travelers wishing to make an early start. Very disappointing.

Hi Marti,While we do try to keep our pets contained to specific floors, when it is a full house and we are 100% pet friendly, during busy times we have the available to put them on any floor that is available. I do apologize that there seemed to be a loud room next door and hope that in the future you feel free to let the front desk know as this is unacceptable and we do have policies to take care of noisy rooms. The property is very clean, but the amenities are sorely lacking. There was no face soap at the sink nor body lotion. No hair blower. Breakfast was scheduled to end at 9 a.m, but the hostess was clearing away items as early as 8:50 a.m. I was really expecting more from this property - haven’t stayed at a LaQuinta for a number of years- it used to be a favorite.

Very nice property - easy on and off from I-81. The room was very nice and the bathroom was one of the nicest hotel bathrooms I have stayed in. Will definitely be back next year on our way down south and on our way back home.

The hotel was louder than normal and the older woman in the purple shirt working during breakfast was very snarky. I didn't design tge tight quarters by the toaster. Also, the toaster is VERY slow and you could use 2 waffle makers.

Our third year in a row stopping here on our way south, always a pleasant experience. But one suggestion to fellow travelers, if you are bothered by highway noise, ask for a room with an even number (those rooms face away from the highway, very quiet). But a very nice hotel.
