The Getaway is a bright and cozy cottage nestled near Cypress Creek. With one queen bed and a daybed with a trundle pull-out, The Getaway is perfect for couples or young families! Conveniently located 1.5 miles from Wimberley Square, the Getaway offers a fully equipped kitchen, living area, and an outdoor oasis with Cypress Creek access. If traveling in a group, make sure to check out the other Creekside Cabins located on the same property. The adorable agave-colored exterior of the home blends beautifully with the landscaping work of plants, flowers, and pottery. The decor of the home brings the beauty of nature inside with florals, hardwood floors, and a rock fireplace. Just a few steps away, the Getaway kitchen is fully stocked for all your culinary needs. Prepare veggies and sides in the kitchen and toss some steaks on the charcoal grill for a classic feast! Enjoy your meal at the breakfast table, or on a pleasant evening, step outside and dine on the porch while listening to the sounds of nature. Both beds offer soft linens, warm quilts, and are sure to provide a restful night’s sleep. It was what we expected but one big draw back was very poor wifi. We were unable to watch TV in the evening, and I had trouble connecting for some work. I checked the download speeds one night and they were below 3Mbps. Even our phone calls were challenging because the cellular coverage was spotty (not their fault) but we couldn't count on the wifi. Of course part of the point of the trip is to get away from the electronic world but there is no excuse not to have decent wifi service for the times you need to connect. ##### John L. The owners are very nice and quick to respond to texts, if you have any problems. The property itself is small, but there’s enough room for all your luggage and freely moving around. It’s not cramped at all! It’s a beautiful and quaint town that’s super convenient to get around (as there’s just one main road), and the creeks/trails are awesome. The only things I would precaution are to obviously wash all the dishes before you use them, shower early or late before the hot water runs out, and be aware there might be bugs. The wall H/C system in the living room does not provide enough heat so the space heaters and firewood provided for the fireplace were a nice addition. You cant beat the view of the creek. Far enough for a quiet, relaxing stay and just a short drive to downtown to enjoy dining and shopping. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the summer! ##### Jimmy M. The place was clean, cozy & very well organized for a small cabin. The furniture was comfortable and kitchen very usable for two people.
