This time we took our adult kids for a long weekend to spend time together, enjoy the bourbon trail, Keeneland and playing games around the big table. Everyone of them said they would return in a heartbeat. You won't find a more beautiful property or accommodations. The large space and bedrooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. We lacked nothing as the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could imagine. Clear starry nights on the back patio and early morning sunrises on the front screened in porch were definitely a highlight for all. Our 89 year old matriarch stayed downstairs in the primary and we dubbed her large bathroom the “girls” bathroom. We had plenty of room around the dining table for dining and making Lego Christmas ornaments! The views are spectacular and walking down the hill to the tree line and back is a workout! Great kitchen will all imaginable appliances. We made all meals on site except a Holiday Lunch at Shakertown. The property is clean, but some of the finishes (bathroom tile, faucets) could use a refresh. It’s not a problem at all, but don’t expect it to be like an austere hotel property. We felt at home. The house was much larger than the photos appear and we had plenty of room to spread out, prepare and then enjoy meals together. The Kroger card on the refrigerator was a nice touch too! There is a reason this property has a high rating. We felt like we were lucky to have stumble upon it and definitely want to make plans to return. ##### Meredith B. The house was very remote and peaceful. Loved the screened in porch in the morning to watch the sunrise. The sunset and river bend was blocked by the trees this time of year, but still beautiful on the rear deck. The kitchen was stocked with many items. The beds were super comfortable. Large table for games was great. Was a little concerned with the creek crossing, however, we were assured that it had very little water. Thanks for sharing your home.
