What hooked me on this place was the bio from the host Trish and Steve about the transformation of their property and what it means to their family. Growing up for as long as I can remember my family would make our annual trip to the Lake Placid area and stay at the now closed KOA on Fox Farm Rs off Rt 86\. Now I have the opportunity to share that same love of the outdoors with a family of my own and this is the perfect place to do it!! We spent our time hiking Cascade Mountain, swimming and fishing nearby. Check in was piece painless and the hosts (Trish and Steve) were quick to answer any questions. For a family of 5 ‘The Barn’ was the amazing outpost (retreat) for hiking, fishing, swimming and close enough to town to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping. \*”The Barn” - Brand new! Spotless, corner to corner, fixture to fixture.Just beautiful and the kids absolutely loved this place as they had plenty of space to spread out. \*Amenities - Everything you need! Fully stocked. Nothing we needed that wasn’t already there. \*Location - Ummhh it’s gorgeous here Centrally located for unlimited hiking trails, swimming and fishing. Wilmington is just minutes away for a small town feel and then you have Lake Placid 15 minutes down the road. Fantastic swimming hole 5 minute drive away near the Flume Falls off 86\.
