Villa, located directly on Exuma's most famous beach, Tropic of Cancer Beach (Atlantic side of the island, approximately 40 minutes from the GGT Airport). Note: \- This home no longer has an upstairs outdoor patio/balcony. \- Although our maximum guest count is 12, the maximum allowed number of adults at this home is 10. With the history of the Bahamas in mind, Yumey Sands Villa gives a nod to the original name for Exuma while offering its guests the context of classic Bahamian refinement. In a pallet of soft grey, light linen, and tender aqua, the great room’s peaceful expanse is enhanced by a conversation encouraging circular dining room table. A short pathway gently slopes forward between the pool and seaside, extending a daily invitation to stroll along the beach, promising a healthy beginning to each seaside stay. It is nicely appointed and well-equipped. This area is somewhat remote so a car is helpful if one is staying for any length of time. The beach was awesome! We kayaked to the little island you view from the house. Any issues were taken care of by Judy, the manager. Our family had the best time! Great memories! The property manager is very easy to get in contact with if you have any questions and the beach is completely private and crystal clear! Clean, beautiful, has everything you need (beach towels, hair dryer, beach chairs, snorkel gear and so much more). It’s about a 45 minute drive from the airport. Make sure you stop at the grocery store before you head to the house. Khriston from Tropic Breeze restaurant catered a meal for us and it was phenomenal! The pictures cannot possibly do this place justice, it was so impressive, so well appointed, so well organized, our family of six felt so welcomed and had a spectacular trip filled with memories that will last a lifetime, I cannot think of a better place to take your family, other family, or friends. Our local guides were so gracious, and the owner of this property was extremely well organized and helpful, 10 out of 10 if that is an option! Yumey Sands is a very comfortable, well appointed, very relaxing property. Definitely a “dream home away from home”. It had everything we needed, and more! We hated leaving, but absolutely plan on coming back! As always, the property manager; Judy and her team made sure all our needs (groceries, alcohol, rental car, jet-ski rental) were taken care of.
