"Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. "

"We have returned to Ullswater Cabin for a second consecutive year now, and the Cabin once again did not disappoint. Very clean, and simply beautiful, with the most peaceful location. There was very good organisation and contact from the hosts John and Allison, and we certainly hope to return again next year. "

"We were a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teenagers) staying at this beautiful log cabin for 3 nights. The location was fantastic…only a few minutes drive from Ambleside. The log cabin was spotlessly clean, and everything we could possibly need. The outdoor space is a bonus with some amazing views. We loved every minute of our stay! Thank you 💕"

Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "
