Motel was burnt down
MOUNTAIN RIDGE MOTEL & RV PARK is located in Whitehorse. Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre and Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include S.S. Klondike National Historic Site and SS Klondike.
Its a motel so I did not have high expectations. The tacky decor and tired rooms were expected. Things like eating cereal out of a mug the 4 year old thought was an adventure as there were no bowls. What we didn't expect was, the Mountain View whcih was of old vehicles and boxes of what appeared to be cases of empty oil containers. To have wifi had to sit in laundry room, not available in room. Staff insisted wifi should work however they were only able to get it on our devices outside the laundry room. Stayed 4 nights no fresh towels, cleaning or garbage removal, had to request this service. 3rd day other hotel guest came around and emptied garbage and brought towels to us as they too had not received this service. Had kitchenette, dish soap was provided but no other cleaning tools, so asked for broom and cloths to clean up kitchen and sweep for the toddler. Broom and cloths were then provided.
