Absolutely — this keeps the important specifics without feeling like a long complaint. We had a mixed but overall relaxing stay at Media Luna. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool area was well maintained. The beach is small, but the snorkeling right off the beach was surprisingly great and one of our favorite things about the resort. There was plenty of food, but we found it just okay and wished there were more authentic Honduran/Caribbean options. Drinks were basic and served in paper cups that quickly became soggy from condensation. The rooms could also use some simple improvements like hooks in the bathroom and better shower heads. A tree hitting our roof during windy nights was also pretty noisy. The staff was generally nice, although some seemed a little disengaged, probably because there were hardly any guests during our stay. There isn’t much to do at the resort, and the excursions offered didn’t really interest us. We left the resort three of our six days to explore other parts of Roatán and definitely recommend finding a reliable taxi driver, since the resort only provides transportation to and from the airport. There were also too many free-roaming cats begging around the dining area. Overall, it’s a clean, peaceful place with good snorkeling and a nice pool if you’re looking to relax, but don’t expect a lively all-inclusive experience, lots of amenities, or exceptional food and drinks.

We ended up being disappointed by the „resort“. First and foremost, customer attention is extremely poor. There was no reception and we had to ask for everything via WhatsApp. It felt like we had to beg for many things, we had to write every day that we want our room cleaned and towels changed, or else they would not do it. We also had to ask for beach towels as they were not provided. The wifi was not working well in the room and the AC was making heavy noises and was dripping. They claim that they would always bring you to the beach with a golf cart, however we ended up walking there most of the time as we didn’t see any staff to bring us. Breakfast tastes good but as a hotel guest your options are strictly limited to the same 3 items on the menu, which after multiple days gets boring. I also had to beg to change the bacon with avocado to have a vegetarian breakfast. It seemed like we were the only guests end of July/beginning of August which added a strange feeling to our stay. The infinity pool was nice, yet small, and the beach was nothing special. The sun beds are old and we were biten heavily by sandflies. As we had to leave early the last day, we asked to get our included breakfast to go, which was declined. The arranged airport shuttle did not show up! Luckily we found someone cleaning in the morning and she called a colleague that took us to the airport while stopping multiple times to pick up other workers. We arrived 25mins later than planned to the airport.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1000% RECOMMEND. A Little Slice of Heaven in Roatán! 🌴💙 Puerta Azul was hands down one of the BEST parts of our Roatán experience! From the moment my friend and I arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The hospitality here is something truly special. The rooms are adorable, spotless, cozy, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The FOOD was hands down some of the best we had in Roatán! Every meal was fresh, delicious, and made with care. The property is paradise. The patio is perfect for relaxing, the private beach is beautiful, and the dock with hammocks over the Caribbean Sea is absolutely breathtaking. I could have stayed there forever! Most importantly, a heartfelt THANK YOU to Noel, Talia, the wonderful kitchen staff, night staff, and cleaning staff. 💙 You each played a part in making our stay unforgettable. Thank you for your kindness, your smiles, your conversations, the incredible meals, and all the little things you did every day to make us feel so comfortable and cared for. You made Puerta Azul feel less like a hotel and more like our little home in Roatán. We will never forget you! If you are considering Puerta Azul, BOOK IT! 1000% recommend.
