We had a few mishaps with being assigned the wrong rooms. It was a bit weird the property. Trying to be nice while being dingy.

I was on the first floor. Reception, ballroom, and restaurant were on ground floor. There was a lot of slamming doors past midnight. In the morning, there was a lot of noise at 6am, as the staff was getting ready for the day. Plus the air conditioner was not working. I left for dinner and set Thermostat to 66, but when I came back at 11:30, room was hot. Front desk person came up and set temp for 60, but there was weak air coming from the unit. He told me if that still did not work, to just turn off the unit to let air come in from outside. What???

First off, Property is gorgeous, clean and relaxing. The receptionist who checked me in. (Spanish girl, with black hair) working the evening shift came to my room and was very rude. I don’t like that I had to switch my room because of the individual who was staying in the room next door decided it was appropriate to bang on my door twice and then yell through the wall telling me I need to be quiet because he had a 1 year old that was sleeping. My music wasn’t even loud. I called the receptionist, a guy answered and this was around 7:30pm. I kindly called to confirm that quiet time was at 10pm. The guy receptionist said “it’s Saturday, there is no quiet time” which is when I told him about the situation with the next door guest. The female receptionist from earlier I spoke about and another woman came to my door and TOLD me I had to switch rooms. when I asked about receiving half of my money back the rude receptionist goes “money back for what”… uhhhh how about the inconvenience that is me having to gathering my belongings after already getting comfortable. The cops were threatened to be called all because I asked why I had to switch my room. They said they didn’t have any of the suites he booked available. 15-20 mins later I called again asking what’s the update about a different room because I’m over it. I honestly wanted to leave and go home at this point. They then said they were going to switch the guest next door instead and told me to give them 5 mins To be cont

The property was good. I have been using Royal Regency for my last 3 or 4 trips to NY. It is conveniently located near the Bronx, is clean, friendly, and has breakfast in the morning.

You can hear doors slamming throughout the night. Bathroom was unacceptable and in need of repair. Rm 106-damaged shower head spraying all over the place. Glass sliding door did not close- you had to shower with it a good 12-15 inches open. The tiled shower floor and corners were black with mold! Mattress was the thinnest I’ve ever seen. No outlets by night tables or bed. Could not charge my cell phone, also my alarm clock near me. Breakfast was good and in a lovely banquet room.

On April 5th, I checked into the Royal Regency Hotel. The manager I encountered at the front desk was highly welcoming and conducted himself very professionally. However, the morning supervisor of the 6th displayed rudeness and scornfulness, though I couldn't ascertain his name. On the morning of the 6th, he appeared at my room and abruptly informed me and my guest that we had only one hour to check out due to alleged noise complaints throughout the night, which I dispute. My friends and I retired to bed around 2 am, and despite the adjacent room playing loud music, I refrained from lodging a complaint and sought to enjoy our time.The manager's conduct, whom I can describe as tall, dark-skinned, with braids, was highly unprofessional. Instead of attempting a second notification regarding the noise complaint, he banged on the door early in the morning, clearly indicating we wouldn't receive a refund for the first night or the second night we hadn't yet spent. His demeanor was unpleasant, unprofessional, and unjust. Such behavior is likely to deter potential guests from experiencing the hotel's otherwise pleasant ambiance, cleanliness, and decor.

The place looks nice but when I got there the bathroom wasn’t really clean, there was almost an altercation with the manager because I was accused of “being loud and complaining about someone being loud at 3am” when in all reality I was sleep because I worked long hours. I was asked to checkout early because of that but once I started talking about speaking to corporate because it’s was bs they decided to let me stay…The food was nasty, my lady ordered room service 3 times and none of the food was good and 2 or them wasn’t even well cooked. Never again will I come here not recommend cause it’s ridiculous how I was treated and yall suppose to be this luxurious hotel.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are good size, the bathroom in the room was very nice and updated. The free breakfast was soooo good. The restaurant in the hotel was good for dinner as well and the prices are very good.

The room in general was clean. The shower tiles were not. I couldn’t get any hot water in shower and ended up washing hair in sink. Much of the breakfast options weren’t fully cooked (French toast, croissants). Very noisy inside.

We were not happy with the staff at all. We felt like we were in another country. They never made eye contact. The cleaning staff could not speak or understand English. When we asked for something, they did not understand. Instead of them going to get someone who could, they just walked away. The breakfast person ignored us when calling her. The food was cold. They guarded the coffee so we could not get it. Our room felt like we were in a closet. The carpets all along the walls were dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned in months. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the fire trucks came. No employee came around to tell us what to do. All of the people staying there came out of their rooms to check. One person called the front desk and was told that it was a false alarm. Never go here!

The hotel overall appeared to be clean but there is a bug problem. Not sure of what type of bugs they were. The staff was excellent nice decor but that doesnt mean anything if there are bugs. This was not inexpensive hotel, but this bug problem is NOT ACCEPTABLE

Signs all over stating quiet time is 10pm to 8am. Music from restaurant litteraly shok the walls up to the furst floor until well after 11pm. Then people congegated inn the first floor lobby outside the elevators until 2am being loud and obnoxious. Front desk people did nothing about it
