The Guest House is well situated which makes it very easy to explore Whitby town centre. Friendly and helpful hosts,the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. High quality breakfast served with a smile and friendly chat from the hostess.

Fantastic stay

Really great stay at the lansbury. Excellent bedrooms with very large comfy beds, lovely bedding and pillows. Breakfast was lovely and hosts incredibley friendly.

Superb B&B

Right from Garath's greeting on arrival till our goodbyes with Alison and Garath , everything was superb. The room was spotless, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious - Garath is a master with poached eggs! The location is really good on the West cliff, with the Abbey in view from just down the road. We were given lots of useful local info by Alison and Garath, especially good with it being the Regatta weekend. Totally recommend this to everyone.

Weekend break

The Lansbury was clean, comfortable, with friendly owners and a cracking breakfast. Parking in Whitby can be a bit of a nightmare with it being so popular but the owners of the Lansbury do all they can possibly do to make it easier for the guests which is great. The biggest compliment we could give is that we will definitely stay there again when we next visit Whitby.

Well situated

A most pleasant stay, had a great time visiting Yorkshire on holiday from New Zealand. A holiday made more enjoyable by our couple of nights spent at the Lansbury. Well positioned for town and moors. Splendid hosts and most enjoyable full English breakfast.

Excellent B&B.

From arrival to departure we had a very pleasurable stay, the hosts were very polite, welcoming and informative. The room was clean, modern and comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast was delicious using top quality ingredients. Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

Truly wonderful accomadtion

Our stayat the Lansbury was a truly wonderful experience. Our hosts Alison and Gareth were most welcoming and helpful. Also compliments to Garath on his cooking of our delicious breakfast. The accomadation was warm clean comfortable and a great location the best we have stayed in and we will definatley be returning. We wish Alison and Garath all the very best.

Excellent guest house .

Lovely place to stay, superb breakfast , hospitality second to none from Garethh and Alison . Will definitely stay here again. Wanted to stay extra night , asked at breakfast , after some juggling with rooms, Alison confirmed we could stay another night in same room. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Very clean, comfortable and extremely friendly.

Alison and Garath are very welcoming and treat you like one of the family. The rooms are so clean and comfortable with excellent en-suite facilities. Free view television is available with tea, coffee and biscuits supplied daily. Top quality shampoo, hand wash and body wash are supplied, and the towels are thick and soft. Breakfasts are superb with all ingredients sourced from the top butcher in Whitby. Top notch small hotel run by lovely people. Thoroughly recommended for short or long stay.

Short break in Whitby

One night stay. Newly refurbished and under new management the B&B was very clean an tidy throughout. The owner was friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was very nice. One tip for the host going forward - wifi internet code was not supplied or found in the room instructions. The rooms at the top of the hotel have a sloping ceiling and because I am tall it was sometimes awkward moving around. Overall a very nice B&B costing £75 for the one night stay.
