The Quiet Comforts of home at Whistler
We recently skied at Whistler for the first time and I was mildly apprehensive about it because of Whistler's renowned nightlife. We have two young boys who usually call it a night by 8pm and I had visions that we would hear partying to the wee hours of the morning. The Delta at Whistler was a quiet, comfortable haven with full kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit, and enough (3) hot tub space to satisfy all the aprez-ski needs of our family and other hotel guests.
The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. The furniture was in great condition, cleaning services were one point, and the hotel staff had capacity to service additional needs. We're pretty low-thrash, but valets, bell hops, concierge, and front desk staff were consistently bright and cheerful in the lobby. In addition, when we wanted to get to the base in a hurry instead of walking through the village the shuttle was quick, clean and comfortable. This hotel is a short ten minute walk to the gondola, but much closer to the Olympic Plaza skating rink, sledding hill, and the big grocery store if you intend to keep things low-key.
Access to the floors is key-carded and parking is beneath the building. The ground level under the rooms is occupied by a ski shop, dental office, and other businesses that don't stay open late. That said, both the fine dining Hy's Steakhouse and a good looking restaurant /bar are right there for drinks and eats.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. I am very happy to read that you and your family had a great stay with us. It sounds like you found a lot of the great fun spots the village has to offer close by the hotel and throughout the village. We hope you come back for your next ski trip!
