Average Hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2015
Overall my stay at the Adara Hotel was good. Advantages - Staff are very nice and accommodating. As other reviews have indicated, the hotel supplies coffee/tea/hot water/apple cider daily and offers warm fresh snacks. Hotel decor is modern and chic. Location is great, easy access to the village. Valet parking gets discounted to $10 a day (instead of $20) if you like their Facebook page and use the 1/2 price offer. Disadvantages - There is 1 elevator for the hotel and it is incredibly slow considering the hotel only has 3 floors. There are no stairs (that I could find) apart from the emergency exit doors, therefore there wasn't an alternative way to get up and down. The walls of the hotel are thin. Although there is a 10pm "quiet time" that goes into effect... you can hear people walking/running down the halls, children screaming, sound from outside...etc. They supply you with earplugs but it would be a nicer, more comfortable stay if the hotel was not so noisy. The black throw blanket that was draped across the bed had white stains all over it and smelled really bad as if it doesn't get washed with the regular linens after guests stay in the hotel.

Great hotel

Great hotel with courteous and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. It is also a great location, close to everything in the core of Whistler! The next day they held some of our stuff so we could go on a stroll without packing everything. Great service

Good value right in centre of village

Posted 7-Aug-2015
Booked 2 rooms (Both were 2 queen rooms). Family of 4 in each room. Excellent location in centre of main village with pool & hot tub. Clean updated rooms...only gave 3 out of 5 for cleanliness because we found a mascara stick under bed that cleaning crew missed (would have rated 5 otherwise). Our room #207 had a balcony & was on the courtyard side, friend's room across hall #216 did not have balcony & was on village pedestrian side. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. Their parking is by valet only in secure underground below hotel. It's $20 + tax per night, but if you like them on Facebook...show them at check in & they will cut parking fee in 1/2 to $10 + tax per night.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and courteous. Likable
Cons: Hard to say, we were only there one evening.
Location: Was in the village so very convenient.
We did enjoy our stay, was a very busy weekend in Whistler and hard to get a hotel. Very quiet, rooms were comfortable. I thought it was odd that the restaurant faced the pool which didn't make it very private, but was a nice pool and deck and in a great area in village. There was one time I was walking down the hall and there was a whole bunch of tools and paraphenalia left in the middle of the carpet which was a little strange and kind of unprofessional, but it didn't bother me too much.

Best value hotel in Whistler with nice bonuses!

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Second time visiting and will be back. Breakfast bars in the morning and cookies in the afternoon are a huge bonus. There is also coffee, tea, hot apple cider, and apples 24 hrs a day! Use the 1/2 price parking discount from Facebook! I think for the value and helpfulness of the staff, this is the best deal for budget conciliatory travelers to Whistler!

Nice convenient hotel

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Pros: Quiet neighborhood
Location: Whistler is fabulous. Take the Peak to Peak gondola and chair lift rides. Short walk from hotel. Get your tickets beforehand in town.
Adara Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located only a few steps away from the hustle of the main walking, dining areas of Whistler, it had a lovely secluded pool and hot tub. My only negative was $20/per night fee for parking. Photo makes it look like a mountain retreat. It is connected to a series of smaller hotels in a cul de sac. Rooms were spacious with good AC (it was warm while we were there). Comfortable bed and nice shower, the two most important things. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar but does supply free coffee, apples and granola bars. Would consider staying there again.

Great little boutique Hotel.

Right in the village of Whistler. It's a little noisy anywhere in the village late at night , because of the location of the bars etc. Especially on a weekend, but this hotel has thought of everything. (Little earplugs by the bed!!) coffee available, cookies in the afternoon, chocolates by the bed. Very friendly staff. Great sunny pool.

Hidden Parking fee

Posted 1-Jun-2015
Pros: location boot dryers in hotel room - woo hoo!
Cons: details on cost should be outlined up front
Location: Ummm, it's Whistler? Enough said.
Our stay at Adara didn't start well - arriving to find out there was a $22/day parking fee that was not noted when booking. This was a 20% increase in the overall cost which may have changed our choice of hotel. Maybe not, but hidden fees are not OK. If valet parking is the only parking available, it should be noted. On a different note, it can be noisy in the village for sleeping. Adara had ear plugs and a white noise machine in our room and we all slept well - thanks! Very nice staff.

Centre of Village

Posted 1-Jun-2015
Pros: Central loation
Cons: King bed is very old and tired. Couch very modern and totally uncomfortable.
Updated older hotel. Great location if you want to be in the centre of the Village. Not so good if you want peace and quiet.
