Front desk was great but other then that horrendous. Walked into incredibly bad smell (they brought cleaners and air freshener and it helped) and water was shut off for a few hours n no one could cook or shower (they brought water bottles which was a nice gesture).

Older, apartment-style accommodations
Has AC, but it's a single window AC for the living room and not centralized AC, so it can get quite hot in the bedroom. Main foyer and hallways are also not air conditioned and have huge glass windows, so they feel like a greenhouse from 9am to 9pm. Please attempt to remember your 10-digit code to enter the building (initially not clear as to what it is) and a different 6-digit code to enter your room. Plus is that you don't need a keycard

The places was undergoing some major renovations. As we wanted to get away from the city the constant noise over the weekdays was extremely irritable. Amenities like the pool and hot tub were out of service And unavailable. No warning of this was provided by Expedia! Also had to exit out of garage which was not really an issue

Beautiful but under construction right below our window. Friday was deafening. No construction Sat or Sun. Pool was closed. Had to exit and enter through garage. I know just temporary conditions. Our suite was spotless but outdated. Very comfortable though. Needs nicer appliances and a big screen. TV so small we couldn't read the words at the bottom of the news. We got a great rate. We would stay there again, but pick a suite with a view instead of the entryway. Loved the location. The service at the Aspen was excellent. Check-in and check-out smooth and quick, and available for any questions . We have stayed in Whistler many times, so we know the high quality of accommodations and amenities. For us, this was 3 out of 5.

Decent price for good space
The space we got for what we paid was great. The overall cleanliness left a bit to be desired however, as there were lip prints on almost every glass that was supposed to be clean. Also, they were doing construction on their pool from 9-5. I wish that had been listed on the website as we may have stayed somewhere quieter and tried them in the future. On the plus side, the bed was comfy, you can control the temperature and it is a quick walk to get to village center.

The condo was a bit dated for the price. There was other accommodation near by that was cheaper but they were clearer about the age of the unit. If I had known that it was such an old unit I would have stayed somewhere else.

The property location is quite convenient and the view is pretty gorgeous. The maintenance is terrible. We arrived between 2 heatwaves in eaely August. Outside temperature was very comfortable. However both rooms were very hot, almost inhabitable in the afternoon which surprised us. One room has an air conditioner, but didn't work, not repairable after their maintenance person tried. We have to open the balcony door without a sreen. The other room has no AC at all. After suffering for two nights with multiple fans blowing all day long, we found the main problem was that the pilot fire of the fireplace was on in both units. Eventually it was turned off by their worker. The furniture has some age. The front desk staff was quite friendly. In summary, you need to be careful when you stay there in summer.

7 Days in BC on a Budget
Hope these tips help fellow travellers. You need to be very careful finding the check in location. Look for ASPEN since that is where you check in. You should be aware that parking is extra and you have to buy a permit for $17 per day for the privilege of parking when you've paid for a suite. If you want to find the pool you should ask how to get to it as no instructions are provided. You need to go to the Parking level and turn left out of the elevator if you don't feel like asking :-). The decor in our room was 1980's and the sofa was threadbare and needs recovering. Open the windows to get some fresh air in as it was stuffy when we arrived.

Whistler Late Summer
My wife & I stayed for a week. This is not a hotel . Its a condo. No air conditioning . Pool hot tub and fitness room not open till 10am and closed at 10 pm. On the good side , building is very quite and the staff at the hotel across the street (that is where you check in) are amazing. Very professional and prompt service . The hotel is close to the village 12 minute walk.

A relaxing experience!!
Even though it was a bit difficult getting to our room( check in across the street at The Aspen) and navigating the underground parking with key pad codes we found our room spacious and comfortable! Really the only complaints were the fridge location ( by the front door) the bed which wasn't a king just 2 doubles pushed together and the rug which needed a complete clean in high traffic areas!! I like to cook and found everything required to make delicious meals for us!! Oh one thing forgotten was the security door to the elevator which would not close with out a push! Disconcerting!! Yet a most enjoyable stay was realized and we'll certainly come again!!

pass code for all entrance, doors, garage needed more instructions. Also cost $16 can/day parking not notified prior to booking. floor heat on low cooked us. could not turn off. first night roasted. next night slept with 2 windows open @ 0c and was comfortable. were doing major fire suppression upgrade with equipment, smells, noise everywhere....would have been nice to know but maybe they didn't know when we booked.

Ski in and walk short distance out. Minor issues with light bulbs and gas log-effect fires not working. But served the purpose - which was to give us a respite for when we are not skiing very well. We had four in the one bedroom apartment - two in the king sized bed, and two on the sofa bed. No complaints!

It was not initially explained to me upon check in that I needed the " common area" code to park, I was just directed to pay at the lobby then Park underground. Upon receiving new instructions from staff when I went back to the desk for help ( across the street in another building), I asked where the pinpad for the parking was located and the staff did not know as they only work in the building where you check in. Then coming back from a walk in the Village, my " common area" code would not work for the 1st floor doors! It was raining and we wanted to get out of the rain. We had to walk all the way around to find another door to enter. My code worked fine there. As well, the 4th floor sitting area outside the elevators had a broken patio door and glass with red tuck tape and yellow caution tape covering the opening to the balcony during our entire stay with rain and wind blowing in. The room was suitable, beds were fine,the air conditioner was old and noisy, pool and hot tub were very nice. Unfortunately, my initial impression was marred by my check in and parking experience.

Not much of a resort at the "resort quest"
Everything was broken including the stereo, dvd player, TV, phone.... Glasses were missing, the cupboards smelled like a litter box. The room was extremely outdated. This hotel doesn't even have a front desk, we had to go to a neighbour hotel to check in. They don't clean the rooms unless you stay more than 4 nights. We moved the couch back to open the sofa bed and it was completely disgusting under there with dirt, food and debris. The hot tub was very neat with the enclosure making it suitable for all year use, but there were no towels provided for pool use anywhere. The elevator smelled like vomit for the duration of our stay. The only positive remarks I have are that the staff (at the other hotel where we checked in) were very friendly. The price that we secured was reasonable for Whistler but I think I rather pay more next time for a better stay. We called the front desk numerous times upon checking in to document all of the broken stuff as we came across it. The location was nice, about 10-15 minute walk from Whistler village. I would not stay here again.

Arrived at 1.00am, despite ringing in the afternoon they did not tell us that the check in was across the road at the Aspen. Front door locked. Had to ring and was told to go across the road. We dragged our bags across,then after checking in were told we had to go all the way back. Room was a god size and well appointed, however metress is very soft and we kept rolling into themiddle od the matress. Tried to do lau dry the next mor j g. Had to ring reception twice before they could tell us where to do it. Then had to ring back as we were not given the wifi code.

Decent Hotel Close to the Slopes
We never saw any staff the whole time we were there and the hotel was a little old, but the room was nice, spacious, and had coffee and tea available. There was a heated pool and hot tub, perfect for after a long day of skiing. The slopes were right across the street, through a small courtyard. For the price this was perfect and very accessible.

Good location. Good price for Good skiing!
The 1-bedroom was great. Good space for the 4 of us, 2 adults, 2 kids. It's really not ski in/ski out. It's more like cross-country ski in/ski out. You get a good workout using the trail back to the hotel. However, the free bus is right outside the hotel, which takes you to the lifts. It runs every 20 minutes and can be packed going back to the hotel at the end of the ski day.

Great spot, good stay. No hotel service. Got to the apartment and it's not clear how to even check in. Hotel staff were pretty average to be honest. Not very accommodating or helpful. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. I sat at the pool for two hours before checkin at 4pm. Trying to get a late check out was very tough and they kept avoiding the issue. Check out is at 10am! Way too early. Getting just an extra hour was not easy. Facilities were great but they could touch up on customer service for sure.

The pool and hot tub were nice, but the fitness center opened so late that it wasn't even possible to have a nice morning work out. The rooms were never cleaned, there were no staff available, and trying to call down to the parent hotel was the only way to attempt to receive assistance, additional towels, etc.

Misleading
Upon arriving we were informed Parking would be at the building across the street not onsite as advertised. A five minute walk each way. They do not accommodate travellers that don't have credit cards well at all!! Upon check in a 500$ deposit was requested so I provided cash and debit. I was promised that my debit would be refunded promptly at check out. When It came time to check out we were told they could not do that and the original front desk rep had lied to us. We than had to call continuously for about an hour three days in a row until they would address this issue. It took nearly a week for our money to be fully reimbursed and this forced us to cancel events on our planned out vacation. When getting to the suite it was old but very clean. When going to "get comfortable" on the bed, it felt like a box spring not a mattress. We had to use our camping foamy to get any comfort out of a bed we paid 100$ a night for. Whenever asking front desk for anything there answer was constantly "there's nothing we can do. We just book the rooms" front desk department doesn't seem to have any responsibility other than passing out keys and receiving payment. They weren't very accommodating to try and improve our stay. I felt I would rather slept in a tent because it was about the same level of comfort.

Nice resort close to the village.
Check-in was off site, but only across the street. The resort was clean, secure, and enjoyable. The pool and spa were nice. The front desk staff were exceptionally nice.
