The Neighborhood: Taluswood is perched high on Whistler Mountain in the peaceful Nordic neighbourhood, offering a quiet, forested setting with sweeping mountain views. With direct access to ski trails leading to Creekside, it’s ideal for intermediate skiers and snowboarders looking for a true slopeside experience. In summer, guests enjoy nearby hiking and biking trails, along with the serenity of being above the bustle of the village. Due to its secluded location, Taluswood is best suited for guests with a vehicle. While there’s no public transit in the immediate area, Creekside’s shops, restaurants, and gondola are just a short drive away, making it easy to enjoy both nature and convenience. The listing doesn’t specify, but this unit has a humidifier and heated floors, which really helped this family from Florida adjust during the winter! It was by far the most comfortable family rental we have stayed in, the location was fantastic and it was really well appointed. They even had bathrobes for everyone! The linens and the beds were super comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed (although you will need to bring spices!) and the communication was spot on. It also had a boot and glove dryer for at least 6 people. There were benches in the garage to boot up and a ski rack for storage. The kitchen was well appointed. We had some wet, rainy weather (always a risk with spring skiing in BC) so it was nice to have ski-in /out access when some members of the family wanted to quit early or start skiing later. The living room has a beautiful, unobstructed view of the valley. 2 bedrooms are on the lowest level so my teens both slept in the 2nd upstairs bedroom - one on a comfortable pull-out sofa. 7 minute drive to the base of Whistler with lots of restaurant and shopping options. It is newly renovated so everything is pristine and of very high quality. Five of our family (all adults) stayed over the Thanksgiving long weekend. We cooked a large dinner one night and the kitchen was very well equipped with utensils, dishes and serving platters. The view is stunning, and the private hot tub got lots of use.
