This 1920’s cottage was originally a New Zealand Railways house and was moved to the present site in 1965. Fully renovated in 2013 we now have a self-contained comfortable cottage with a large deck area to relax and unwind. Cook for yourself or take a short stroll to the iconic Whangamomona Hotel which provides top quality food and beverage. We also provide for horse trekking groups with purpose built pens to cater for up to 8 horses and riders. We hope you enjoy your stay at our forgotten world highway hideaway and look forward to seeing you again. Please note for 1 person the charge is $100. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Plenty of covered outdoor space to admire the views and a awesome fire inside for our chilly stay. I wasn’t aware the bathroom and toilets were outside on the porch, chilly in 2 degree temperature but all part of the stay and experience.
