Nestled away between Weymouth and Portland, the village of Wyke Regis provides the perfect position to explore the Jurassic coastline. Located at the south-eastern end of Chesil Beach, the village is also just a short drive from the market town of Dorchester.
Located in a quiet residential area, Meadow View is a traditional, three-bedroom, 1930s semi-detached house which benefits from being newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Comfortably sleeping five, the property is laid out across two floors, comprising an open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen and three bedrooms offering generous storage space. Externally, there is plenty of space to find a quiet corner to relax or simply enjoy some family fun on the decked terrace area or garden lawn. The patio and terrace areas also provide the ideal opportunity to indulge in a little al fresco dining.
Accessed directly from the rear garden is a large secure playing field with its own childrens’ pump track for bikes, scooters and skateboarding plus an enclosed childrens’ play park. There are four small beaches approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the property . Castle Cove, Sandsfoot and Smallmouth beach all face onto Portland Harbour. Twenty minutes’ walk to the west is the East Fleet behind Chesil Beach which is perfect for dog walking and connects to the South West Coastal path leading east to Portland or west to the spectacular World Heritage Jurassic Coast providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy walking surrounded by outstanding sea and country views.
The classic seaside resort of Weymouth has attractions to suit all tastes and ages. A Georgian seafront with a wonderful, award-winning golden sandy beach and shallow waters, a variety of restaurants fronting the idyllic leisure harbour and Brewer’s Quay hosting the Sealife Centre.
Portland Harbour, which was the venue for the 2012 sailing Olympics, is excellent for sailing, kite and wind surfing, offering world class facilities. Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is approximately a 5-minute drive. The rugged Isle of Portland is rich with birdlife and fossils and a good area for sea fishing off Chesil Beach.
