The neighborhood is older and parts of It are in poor shape, but our area was very quiet and the neighbors we met were very friendly. Lake Almanor is only 6 miles or so away—and my husband caught his biggest rainbow trout ever, 6 lbs plus (he did catch and release so it’s still there to grow and be caught again...) on our first day out. Exciting for us both! I’ve not spent time at Lake Almanor and now that I have I know why my husband loves the area so much—it’s absolutely some of the best of God’s country, gorgeous!
