The desk clerk was very organized and provided everything we needed upfront in writing , I believe her name was Tiffany. The toilet seat was broken but although older, the room was clean and provided all we needed for an overnight stay.
We went back to St. Louis (our original home) because my sister is under Hospice care now. We needed a great hotel and service when we weren't at her house, and we got it! We drove 11 hours and I was so fried by the time we hit the front desk, and were welcomed by a glass of wine. Everyone was friendly and it felt comfortable. I can't stress enough how pleasant it was to be able to get a drink and heavy snacks, before we headed out to her house. And breakfast was also super. I anticipate having to go back up again, and will definitely stay at this Drury Inn.
I had never been to the Sheraton Chalet before, and even though the roads were under construction to get to the hotel, that isn't the hotels fault. Once I got there, I saw that there was a beer brewing convention of IPA's. It was their own private conference, but they were pretty relaxed. No one got wild at the hotel, and it was so quiet in the rooms when I went to sleep I turned on the fan on the AC unit to make noise so I could sleep.
Hotel is very clean and well kept. Staff is friendly. They are very dog friendly and do not charge extra fees for your pet (huge plus!). Breakfast is included if you stay in a club room (floors 10-12), served from 7-10 AM buffet style. You will go to the 12th floor and use your room key to get into the area where breakfast is served. Basic breakfast offerings of bacon, eggs, toast, muffins, fruit and cheese, juices and water. Pretty nice view out all the windows on one wall. It's located in a very nice area and is close to the Westport Plaza with food and shops. Free parking. Overall I would recommend and a very nice stay!
Creve Coeur County Park frames the 320-acre Creve Coeur Lake, which was a summer resort in the early 1900s. Four other parks are within city limits, including Aquaport, a Waterpark with a lazy river and body and tube slides. Westport Plaza is a 42-acre development that encompasses restaurants, bars, a comedy club, and a facility for live theater.
