Although it is privately situated in a beautiful meadow among the beach pines, you're still only less than one mile from the center of Westport. This home offers a multi-level design with three decks, vaulted ceilings, and semi-privately deeded access to the sandy beach only a thousand feet away. Come home each evening to a fireplace, a fire pit, a wet bar, and a large TV where you can watch games and movies with your loved ones! Places to Visit During Your Sta This home sits on more than two acres of land, less than a mile from the center of Westport. You'll have prime access to Westport Light State Park (a mile north), surf spots, restaurants, a bike trail, a marina, and much more. You'll also be less than three miles south of Westhaven State Park, which offers 79 beachfront acres where you can surf, fish, and go clamming. The hot tub was relaxing and very clean which was nice. We didn’t use the grill but it looked well maintained and easy to use. The house is in good condition overall but could benefit from some slight updating. The oven and stove top set off the alarm every time it was used- we tried to make tea in the morning and woke the whole house up! Aside from waiting for late check in due to cleaning not being done and waiting to hear back about a charging cord that we need sent back to us, everything was good! The negative was that the carpets were stained and needed cleaning, bathroom floor rug looked dirty, and overall cleaning could use improvement (found food wrappers under / around beds in single bed room. Very private and quiet. House was basically everything we needed. Small complaints are that the carpet throughout the house is dirty, stained, and many thorns that poke your bare feet when walking around. Working washing machine would have been appreciated as it was advertised to have one but found out upon arrival that it was out of order. King bed was comfortable. Couches were comfortable as well. Wanted to use BBQ grill but it was out of propane. Informed Vacasa in hopes that the local team would bring some out, NEVER happened. A third party is used to treat the hot tub and the kid didn’t know what he was doing. It had brown/yellowish foam and ring around the hot tub, gross! Turns out it just keeps running so rather than deal with maintenance people, we turned off the valve. Sticky kitchen counter tops, crumbs on the "clean" dishes in the cabinets, dead bugs in the fridge, and an inside temperature of under 60 because the heat was off and then we found that all the floor vents were closed. Towels in the washer, sheets that were maybe not clean... We spent the first hour changing the beds and cleaning the kitchen. After that, we had a fabulous time. It's literally under 5 minutes to the beach and it's wonderfully quiet. The firepit was perfect and there's tons of parking. The wooded grounds of the house are marred a bit by a couple trash dumps but we avoided them after the first day. The hot tub was great and we knew it was clean because the hot tub maintenance man showed up the second day. So much for solitude. The storm that knocked out power for 18 hours was thrilling but the beach was still wonderful. There's games and tons of emergency lighting. The gas fireplace was a blessing. We enjoyed our stay but we expected a bit more for our money. The towels were tatty, paint was shabby and no welcoming touches like at other VRBOs we've stayed at.
