This is truly the perfect vacation spot. Located directly on gorgeous Wyman Lake which rests at the base of Wachusett Ski Mountain. Whether you’re looking to get away in the summer, fall, winter, or spring — Old Oak Cottage provides the perfect lodging for your trip. We take a lot of pride in presenting our home to our guests. We will always offer you an experience that we would appreciate and enjoy. Wyman Lake is a fully recreational lake. The water is clean, clear, and perfect for swimming. You may enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, ice fishing, ice skating, and snow mobiling. The house is a spacious 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom cottage that sleeps eight people. SLEEPING — 1st Floor \- The master bedroom is located on the 1st floor and boasts a very comfortable king bed and attached half bath. \- The living room has a pullout sofa. SLEEPING — 2nd Floor \- Upstairs bedroom with queen bed. \- Upstairs bedroom with twin bed + twin trundle. \- Upstairs den with a pullout futon. The gorgeous sunroom with views of the lake and mountain is the perfect setting for your morning coffee. Step outside onto the two-tier deck that offers convenient outdoor dining. When it’s time to play, you will find more than enough kayaks and paddle-boards, along with a canoe, pedal boat, and row boat. A brand new dock was installed in June 2023 that offers 150 square feet of space to fish, cannonball, or even dine. After a full day on the lake, head to the outdoor-shower and get ready for an evening under the stars and around the fire-pit. String-lights hanging overhead; tiki torches around the yard; and comfortable Adirondack chairs — all provide the perfect lakeside setting. For a $100 flat fee, you will have access to the following: 55lb trolling motor, 12V 50AH battery, battery box, extension handle, boat anchor — everything you need for a comfortable 5 MPH cruise around Wyman Lake. The setup is easy. For beginners, we can text you a video of how to attach and work the motor. \*\*NO PARTIES\*\* If you’re looking to throw a big house party, not only is this against the rules, it’s not the right house for you. There is absolutely no additional parking available anywhere in this neighborhood which has very narrow streets. Overflow cars will be towed and the police will break up any parties. Book your party elsewhere, please. WYMAN LAKE: A fully recreational 200 acre lake. Bring your boat, tie up to the dock, and enjoy everything from fishing to jet-skiing. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen had newer appliances that worked well for cooking. Enjoyed corn hole game and basketball. Didn't have enough towels. Was very disappointed that washing machine was broken and old. Owner was very responsive to our issues and offered to send us new towels and pay for a laundromat. We brought our boat and had no trouble getting into the lock for the association boat ramp. The house was great. My sister rented the little house just down the street for her family. Being the bigger house her sons stayed with us. The a/c for the bedrooms was refreshing after long days on the boat. The boys fished everyday and the neighbors were kind. it was a nice quiet vacation. I only left the house to get ice cream. 1 suggestion is to bring a fan for the living room it helps circulate the A/C. We brought one with us and it helped keep the living room cool on the 90 plus degree days. having 2 bathrooms was helpful as there were a bunch of us. the kayaks were a huge hit with the boys. Séjour de 3 nuits en février 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Melissa B. 19 févr. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Winter Ski Getaway with a Beautiful Lake View My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys ages 13&16) and my brother-in-law’s family of 4 (2 adults and 2 girls ages 20&22) stayed for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) the first weekend in February. Very nice home with a beautiful view right on the Lake with the Ski Mountain in the background. Only 5 minutes to the mountain. The owner was quick to respond by text with any questions we had. Beds were all comfortable except the pull out couch needs a new mattress. Having only one shower for 8 people was a challenge but we managed for the one weekend. For a winter stay I would not recommend more than 7 or 8 people for those reasons. In the summer you can use the outdoor shower so can probably have 8 or 9 people. We cooked all our meals in the house and were able to use the outdoor grill as well. My nieces enjoyed the sauna and we all enjoyed a nice fire while watching a movie after a long day of skiing. My family of 4 is considering going back in the summer to enjoy more lake activities. ##### Melissa B. Could use some upgrades. A dresser in the master bedroom would have been very helpful. The heating was nearly non existent in the bathroom and master bedroom ( thank you for the space heater) we really enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching movies or playing intense family hangman on the black board.
