Dating back to the mid 1800s it was one of the first schoolhouses in the area, today it is filled with all the modern luxuries one would need. Our quaint porch is perfect for bird watching or leaf peeping. The inside includes high ceilings, a bedroom and a cozy loft- both with queen beds. French culture is only a 10 min drive away; Vermont culture is abound with maple syrup and warm locals. With Jay Peak right up the road, the next best thing to France a few miles further and a beautiful maple lined street right out your door the location of our home can’t be understated. But what we believe sets our home apart from other Airbnb’s in the area is what’s inside. 100-year-old floors, a claw foot tub, an old porcelain farmhouse sink, a swing and concrete counter tops. Our house perfectly blends historical elements with modern luxuries, you may come for the great outdoors but never leave our cozy home. Mostly a large open room with one open loft bedroom and another bedroom that is very private. This worked out well for us because we were traveling with our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend and they wanted privacy while we just wanted to hang out. My only heads up is that the stairs to the loft bedroom were a bit treacherous. I'm in my 50s and got a good workout from them but if you have any problems with climbing or heights or if you have little kids I would pass. The area is very rural though there are houses within sight. The roads are right there but there's very little traffic, some ATVs. One weekday night one of the neighbors mowed his lawn for hours but otherwise, very quiet. The local town is also very low key. We were there in July but I'm sure it's very busy in the winter because of the proximity of Jay Peak. Just a lovely space. ##### Heather S. There are two lofts that each have comfy queen beds. Steps are somewhat narrow and steep but not an issue for our group. My young niece loved the swing in the middle of the living room as did the adults. There is a great record collection, turntable and blue tooth speaker. Kitchen needs another skillet as there is only one but otherwise the place is very well stocked. The listing does not note that there is washer and dryer included,So we were pleasantly surprised to find that we could do laundry.
