Perfect size for the two of us inside. Clean and well maintained. Far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough to find things to do and for groceries. Woke up both mornings with deer in the yard and the creek burbling in the back. Coffee in the chairs looking up at the mountains was beautiful. The place looked even better in person than it did in the pictures and the 360 degree mountain views were amazing! The house was super neat and clean and well stocked with cooking utensils and basic kitchen needs. We stayed there before our elopement and it was perfect for getting ready and for relaxing in the down time. There was a slight issue with a leak due to built up snow/ice on the roof, but they quickly fixed and were so incredibly nice about it! I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a fun relaxing getaway! It's a beautiful and short drive into Westcliffe, plenty of national forest around for hiking and fishing, and not far from Canon City for rafting or fly fishing on the Arkansas River, exploring the royal gorge, or rock climbing! The two nights we booked initially were slated to be super cloudy, thankfully Jen was super helpful and let us shift nights around. Glad we did because the stars were AMAZING.
