The home is well-stocked with kitchen supplies, games, and other essentials, which made our stay comfortable and convenient.I had read several reviews mentioning the road being extremely rough, but in our experience, it was just a typical dirt road—nothing out of the ordinary. We had no issues driving an SUV up to the property.One thing to note is that the cabin does not have air conditioning. While this was a bit disappointing at first, we were able to cool the home by opening the windows in the evenings.The overall cleanliness could use some attention. The floors didn’t appear to have been cleaned recently, the shower could use a thorough scrubbing, and there were cobwebs in the corners throughout the house.That said, the cabin has a lot of potential. With a bit of extra care and maintenance, it could be a truly exceptional stay. The location was perfect near the West Yellowstone entrance and with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. ##### Nichole B. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and spices. Crock pot was nice to have to start a dinner in the morning and let it cook all day to come back to. The griddle was great for breakfast for eggs and bacon and pancakes. We ate breakfast and dinner everyday at the cabin with lunch in the park. The living rom was very nice - comfortable couches and chair. TV was good for late evening watching.The location was great for the west side of the park - only 15 minutes from the west entrance. West Yellowstone was very convenient for getting groceries.There was a fox and beaver right there on the property and provided a little show.Only down side was the dust and cobwebs inside - place could use a good cleaning in this regard. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Also, there was no broom and dustpan which would have been nice, but there was a vacuum. ##### Mike W. No air conditioning at this property with outdoor temps in the 80’s today. Property needs a deep clean - HVAC vents and ceiling fans coated with dust, outdoor insect piles, and dirty windows with hand prints and more insect life. The mosquitos are seriously voracious — no amount of bug spray will save you here. One must sprint to the door to avoid the attack. Sadly, you absolutely cannot enjoy the outdoors here in summertime. Opening the windows to cool off the house is risky business. The outdoor porch should really be screened in. Pillows need to be replaced. The kitchen is nicely appointed and the dining and family room spaces are quite spacious. There is a beautiful bald eagle nest near nearby. Vacasa property management was responsive to our AC concern but then realized there is no AC. VRBO did not indicate the owners are immediately next store and there is a renter living over the garage. The wood burning fireplace, awesome views, large living area/den, great kitchen, and spacious open floor-plan can't be beat. We enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including snowmobiling, hiking, and visiting Yellowstone in winter. Plan to visit in summer however the cabin is booked solid for most of summer it seems. A great hidden gem this cabin truly is, we are very happy that its shared with the public. Thanks! ##### Orlando S. There was ample space for us to sleep and hang out. It had a basically furinished kitchen which made our stay more comfortable. It's about 15 or 20 minutes out of town so we were able to make full meals. Restaurants and stores were mostly open some were closed for the winter season. Close to the lake. You can see a partial lake view from the great room window. The rest of the lake is covered by vegitation but is a short walk to the water to see. There is a boat slip that comes right to the back yard. Outside fire pit. We enjoyed the fireplace on occassion which added to the atmosphere we were looking for. The cabin is a short drive to the Yellowstone West entrance (15-20 min). We eneded up spending all day at the park and therefore checked in after dark. The cabin was a little hard to find in the dark at first. GPS took us to a different cabin. Follow the roads for Rainbow Point Campground. Just after the actual campground loop C there is a private drive to the right just before the turnaround. That is the driveway, second cabin on the right. The dirt road is a little rough this time of year and it had lots of water filled pot holes. Would stay here again. ##### Ashley N. The home was very nice, very clean and easy to get into. Located on Lake Hebgen in a fairly remote location, it was the perfect escape for a week. The downside with the property was the lack of communication with the property managers/owners and the unusable fireplace. A key property feature for us when we were looking was a wood fireplace and unfortunately we could not enjoy the fireplace due to it completely smoking out the house. (We confirmed the flu was open) - I recommended to the property manager that someone should really inspect the chimney prior to renting the property again and there has not been a response yet. We did not receive any responses about use of the fireplace while we were there and tried contacting the property manager multiple times. We still have not heard back and are looking to obtain some kind of partial refund due to this being a key reason we picked this home. If you are planning a summer stay and not worried about the fireplace or communicating with the property folks then it is a great place for sure and only about 20 minutes to the Yellowstone Park entrance! ##### Josh C. The property is located on the lake... but what you dont see.... is the house is surrounded by sheds and more homes.... all around the property. The cooking supplies were non-existent... coffee pots did not work... we called for a new one and we were informed that the coffee maker would be looked into... never got a call back. The house needs a little T.L.C. walls are beet up and couches are worn out. The cabin has a fireplace...... but bring your own chainsaw... due to no firewood being provided. West Yellowstone is all about winter. Big time snow here. This cabin literally sits about 6 miles off the highway. It is totally secluded. Peaceful. Beautiful. The only noise at this location was from the ravens. We loved it here. I would honestly like to buy this home. Location is incredible. Views are incredible if you can get lucky enough in the winter for the cloud cover to break. The house had all we needed or wanted. It was very comfortable. It was also equipped with just about anything you would need. Tons of towels, bedding, and blankets for cold winter nights. Kitchen had everything we needed and was very large. Lots of seating for everyone in the family. Games in cabinets for the kids. Lots of windows and beautiful views. When we go back to Yellowstone, we will stay in same house.
