We came for our oldest daughter’s graduation from Clemson and stayed for a few days following. The house itself is spacious, well-planned, and gorgeous, with the most comfortable beds! We did a little fishing from the dock, although we think it was just too cold for the fish to be biting this time of year, but we saw plenty of bass swimming in the clear water! If we’d had more time we would have made use of the kayaks and SUP’s as well, but we’ll do that on our next visit. We loved the fire pit as well - perfect for the chilly nights we had! The location is very convenient to Clemson, downtown Walhalla, downtown Seneca, and scenic hikes and waterfalls. Darol, the owner, was wonderful and checked in on us before, during, and after our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It accommodated our multi-generational family vacation and everyone had a great time. Bedrooms are huge. Beds comfortable. Outdoor living area has everything you'd need to eat, relax with a water view. We brought our boat and loading/docking was a breeze. (Landing only minutes away.) So many beautiful sights to see on the lake; but you can swim, kayak, or fish right from the dock.
