This recently renovated vacation home is a 2 story, 4 bedroom historic property that sleeps a maximum of 10 guests in total (including sleeper sofa). The top floor features 3 separate bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens) and a shared full bathroom. The ground floor of the house offers a spacious living/sitting area, a spacious den with two twin beds, dining room, full bathroom, a generous family/entertainment room which features a queen sleeper sofa and an entertainment system with cable and a flat screen tv, a fully furnished and equipped kitchen and a laundry room. The family room features french doors opening up to the pool deck and backyard amenities including lounge chairs, charcoal grill and outdoor hot/cold shower. The property is located just a few blocks from The Intracoastal Waterway and a short leisurely walk to the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, including City Place, The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The Periwinkle's convenient location allows you to fully immerse yourself in the art, shopping, restaurants, recreational activities, museums, events, night life and exclusivity that West Palm Beach has to offer. Good to Know Before You Book: Pet Policy: This home welcomes one well-behaved dog or cat (under 50 lbs). After your booking, you'll be asked to confirm your furry friend’s details and submit the one-time $200 pet fee + taxes. Please note that only one pet is permitted per stay. Feel free to ask any questions you may have ahead of time about our pet policy. Security Hold or Damage Waiver: This home requires an additional refundable security deposit of $500, which will be a hold placed on your credit card at check-in and released within 2 days after check-out and our standard inspection. The property is well-fenced, so our doggy could not escape, and it is a very dog-friendly area. It was in a perfect location and close to everything! A short drive got us to the beach each day or to shopping/restaurants. The pool was awesome and private. It felt like our own little oasis. The operators were easy to deal with. Only minor complaints are the neighbors and the shady pool. It was cold to swim some days because the pool is almost entirely in the shade, but other days it was perfect. The neighbors are interesting... Great place overall! Loved the location. May 10, 2018 #### Periwinkle House Beautiful older home that has been remodeled inside. Nice pool (water was a little too cold for our taste) with lovely deck area in rear. We enjoyed the home and especially the neighborhood. Very nice area to walk in and a pleasant 15 minute walk to the Palm Beach Atlantic University campus. Parking (always at a premium in West Palm Beach) was very adequate for our 2 vehicles. Even though exiting the passenger side was difficult due to a hedge that encroaches, it was nice to park off the street. We had 2 minor incidents with plumbing, but the owners were quick to help and we got by with minimal inconvenience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would rent the home again.
