After reviewing the photos of the towels they claimed were damaged, I can 100% say that the towels did not look this way when we checked out of the hotel. Even if they did, $60 for a towel or two is absolutely criminal. After this, I will never stay here again and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Also can I mention that some of the outlets in the hotel room did not work, the shower took forever to get warm water, the window in the bathroom had no screen, the walls were thin and you could hear loud traffic early morning every morning. I received about 40 texts from this property for check in. We were driving from NH, a 22 hour, 2-day drive, and I kept receiving texts that I wasn’t checked in. They also wanted $150 deposit per room(we had 3), that was refundable if nothing was damaged. When we left I received two of those back, so I texted and asked where the third one was, and they said there was dog hair and so they were charging us $75 extra cleaning fee as if we had a pet with us. We had no pets with us in any of the three rooms, we had driven down in a rental, and my personal blanket smelled after leaving their hotel. There was a bullet hole in the window frame of our room. There was a man screaming psychotically at 4:00am outside our room, my husband almost called the police. Another guest also shared with my husband the struggles to check in and that their room was dirty when they arrived and had to get a different room assigned. Hot water was not happening after day 2\. No one on site. They were responsive to text messages. They thought it was fixed but it was not. Busy road. Making left into parking area not real safe. My only critique! But ovwrall a great place, clean, modern, well appointed for price point! Enjoyed the outdoor lawn sitting area, moved one of the lawn chairs to in front of my room. It's located literally in front of bus stops (Palm transit route 1 NB & SB) if that matters to you. I will come back soon & ask for upstairs room. The internet was nice and fast, and the smart tv was an added bonus since I could log in with my own credentials and watch what I wanted. The Bad: No Hot Water: I went to take a shower about 1 and ½ hours before my check out time. I turned the shower handle one way and left it for about 2 minutes, but no hot water. I turned it fully the other direction and did the same, and still no hot water. Let me say my shower was very fast 😊. I would have reported this issue to the front desk, but there is none, so I figured the probability of someone correcting the situation was very low. No Grace for Early Check-In: I arrived earlier than anticipated and at 3:05 pm asked if I could check in early (4pm is the standard check-in). The agent offered to charge an extra $25 to check in 55 minutes early . The price of the room before taxes for my one night stay was $33.51 (\~$61 total). I was literally sitting in the parking lot watching the room, and no one entered or left in the time I was there, so it was not that the room was not ready and they needed to pay someone to quickly get it ready. I told the agent this inflexibility would make me be less likely to leave a positive review, but he replied it was a ‘management’ decision due to the rising costs of everything. Really?
