We loved everything about our stay. The cabin was well decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed while we were there. The owners were super responsive, kind and helpful. The cabin was conveniently located to grocery stores as well as restaurants and cute shops. Although the cabin is not in the middle of the woods we did not even notice the neighbors (we never heard them or saw them). We brought our pup and she loved the gated deck, the stream behind the house, the neighborhood loop and the state park up the road. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our Christmas dinner. The bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the bathroom with the large claw foot soaking tub. The owner’s were very responsive and we will definitely consider staying at the Great Escape on our next visit to West Jefferson, NC. ##### Jessica M. The cabin is in an exclusive neighborhood that is right at the foot of Mt. Jefferson. Access to restaurants and shopping was two minutes down the road; hiking and sightseeing were five minutes up the road. Very comfortable accommodations in a private community. Lots of games and VIZIO TV plus late nights on the deck by the fireplace made for a perfect vacation. This really is a "Great Escape"! We will rent this one again soon! ##### Aaron F. Enjoyed the gas logs and well-equipped kitchen. Very-nicely decorated. Our two Cavelier Spaniels enjoyed the gated, wrap-around covered porch. ##### Sharon T. The owners allowed us to bring our golden retriever, which was great. The house was perfect and had everything you needed for a stay in the mountains.
