The location worked very well for all that we wanted to do in Boone and West Jefferson. Found some great spots for food including: Third Day Kitchen (great views and serene) and the Dough Shed (immaculate restaurant that had a fabulous, well stocked buffet even in late afternoon). We were there in a bit of a heat wave and did find the lack of central AC a little hard and the multitude of newly installed light switches took some trial and error.
