While it is very private, with its own entrance, you can hear loud footsteps and muffled noises from the unit above, if it is occupied. They cannot hear you. However, it may not be a good fit for small children or light sleepers.\*\* During the ski season, the apartment includes a ski-back trail (conditions permitting) and shuttle to and from Mt Snow (winter weekends and holiday). In the warmer months, the club house has a pool, tennis court, gym, pool table, and fire pit/bbq area. The Green Mountain Den is a place to drop your bags, kick off your shoes, slow down, and let your mind disconnect. A cozy place designed for quick trips with everything you need. There's hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air, and dark starry nights. The Green Mountain Den is a two-bed, one-bath apartment in the lower level of a 1985 chalet located in Dover, VT in the heart of the Green Mountain National Park - 3.5-hour drive from New York City, and a 2.5-hour drive from Boston. We are minutes away from restaurants in West Dover and Wilmington, as well as Mt Snow and Stratton ski resorts. Green Mountain National Forest offers some of the best terrains for hiking and mountain biking in the northeast. The house is officially situated on one acre but we back up to national park land so feel free to roam the backwoods for as long as your legs can sustain you. The apartment and grounds are available for your enjoyment! Guest Access • Guests will have access to the lower level apartment, consisting of entry through a separate side entrance door, a full kitchen, a living area with fireplace, an open concept kitchen, two bedrooms, and bathroom. Above there is a 4-bedroom home with separate access that is rented separately. Interaction with Guests • Keys will be left for you and we will always be available via email, text or phone. Ski Resorts • Mt Snow ski resort is a 1-mile drive or The Moover is Dover’s free shuttle service that brings you directly to and from the mountain. Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25-minute drive from the house. Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail. The Harriman Reservoir is a short 30-minute drive and is a great place to enjoy kayaking and lake-shore hiking. Nearest International Airport • Albany International Airport (67 miles) Other Things to Note • The apartment is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, bath products, board games and books, and an internet/Netflix-enabled TV. The area is great, there is a ton to do and see. We went for a hiking trip and enjoyed the places to eat. The one caveat is that it isn't clear in the listing that it's a shared community pool, about a 5 minute walk from the property. It was nicely maintained and really lovely. His response time is amazing. I travel for business a lot and never had anyone get back to me so quickly. The place was exactly what I needed. A clean , comfy bed, a kitchen to prepare meals and a hot shower. I am not a skier and wasn’t here for a ski vacation , but I found myself thinking that it would be the perfect spot if I was. It’s close to the ski area, . It sleeps 6 people and has a fully equipped kitchen and comfy seating area with fireplace. Perfect for apres skiing. However it was May when I came here and the Spring beauty of this area was breathtaking. I found myself driving around just taking in the beautiful scenery that surrounds this place. I can only imagine how wonderful and vibrant the area would be if everything was open for business. Alex was busy with an unexpected emergency so he was unable to get back to us more then 30 minutes.. I will say VRBO really doesn’t help..Thankfully, Alex corrected the fireplace issue for us and we were able to enjoy a very well appointed condo..Shuttle to Mt. Is a really nice addition we didn’t utilize..Only negative is we had people above us and you hear them creeking the floors.. Thankfully, we were all in bed early so it wasn’t an Issue...We d stay again!! Thanks Alex ##### dan b. A very clean and updated apartment/condo. Walls are white knotty pine, and the scent of pine is refreshing. Owner is easy to contact and hospitable. Modern bath and kitchen, new Keureg and a basket of assorted coffee, coco and a box of Lipton tea. Cell service in the entire area is spotty; but the WIFI and streaming TV worked well. There is an Echo Dot as well. One does hear footfalls from Tenants above at times. Thanks for a nice home away from home. --- DM ##### Dorene M.
