"This was our second time here, and it was better than the first time. I love the features of this historic property. Our room has old hardwood floors and a fireplace. There is a veranda on the second floor for relaxing. One night we got a drink in the tavern, then had it on the veranda. The Inn offers a free continental breakfast, which is very good and has a lot to offer. We ate well every morning. The front desk folks were always friendly and helpful. I recommend this Inn."

"So much potential. The parking lot is unkempt, many facilities are shut down, there only seems to be a single staff member on site. The carpets are beaten down, the whole hotel smelled of cleaning agents, and our room smelled of cigarettes. Putting that aside, rooms were actually clean. No bugs, dirt or anything. It was eerily empty and quiet, but some might like that. The staff member was super friendly and helpful. I feel if this place put any money into recovering the parking lot and physical appearance overall that itd be a 5 star experience."

"We enjoyed our stay. The inn is in an old historic building but the interior is clean and filled with nice touches. We stayed one night, and were in the smallest room. The bed was fine. The room was quiet! The breakfast was thoughtfully presented. Good coffee. Great bread. We enjoyed the outside patio and lawn that leads down to the Ottauquechee River. We also enjoyed the artwork in the gallery. The best part of the inn is the owner and staff. They are attentive and eager to please. "
