"Great apartment very close to the centre"
Very close to the centre and 5 minutes walk to the train and bus station.
We stayed in the Dalai Lama apartment, which was basic, but tastefully done and had all you needed.A large main room with a king sized bed, a small single bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a small kitchen and a balcony, though it had no view. If you're a smoker, this would be a big plus, otherwise you'd have to use the 'courtyard' on the ground floor, down two flights of stairs.
There is a small shop selling essentials, next door to Nobel Suites, which is open every day until 11pm and there is also a huge Carrefour supermarket on the second floor of the Galleria shopping centre, about 10 minutes walk away...open until 10pm.
The centre of Krakow and most districts are easily walkable from the location, but you could also use the excellent and cheap public transport system to go further afield.
A fantastic bistro across the road, third on the right, called 'Etnika', otherwise there are hundreds of places to eat and drink at right in the heart of the city and you'll be spoilt for choice.
Shop around if you wish to go on organised tours, but you can do everything independently.
A taxi from the airport will cost around 70zl, but there is also an excellent bus service to and from the airport, which will cost you 4zl per person, per trip.
We had a superb time and would return to Krakow (and Nobel Suites) in an instant.
