WiFi & Sat. Near Trails This 3 Bedroom 2 Bath home has been updated with a Modern Farmhouse Style Décor. Dining area is open to living room and family room for an open concept that is great for large families or entertaining and features a large custom built farm style table. Kitchen features granite countertops, new stainless appliances including a dishwasher, center island with bar seating and all your kitchen necessities. Master bedroom has walk-in closet, a queen bed with new mattresses, a 50 inch television and ensuite featuring porcelain tile, an oversized tub, and separate shower. Bedroom 2 features a queen size bed and large closet. Bedroom 3 features full size bed and large closet and is adjacent to the second bathroom. The second bathroom features porcelain tile, large bathtub/shower combo, and a large double sink vanity. Living area features a large television open to the kitchen when large barn doors are open- or you have the option to close the large barn door for extra privacy. Living area opens to spacious front deck overlooking pond and wildlife. Family room is open to the dining kitchen area and also features a queen sofa sleeper, sofa, and large television with electric fireplace. Washer and Dryer are located in the laundry room which also features a rear exit and porch. Deck has patio set seating 6, a conversation set that seats an additional four persons and overlooks the (swimmable and fishable) pond with fountain and creek. Check out our photos of salmon running the creek last fall! Property also features custom made fire ring surrounded by three large custom porch swings for your enjoyment. Property also features walking trails that loop around and take you back to the property. This property allows relaxation and seclusion in a very tranquil environment. Hopefully we've thought of everything! Basic Soaps, detergents, toiletries, paper towel, shampoos, coffee, creamer, and sugars provided. This property works wonderfully in all seasons! Unfortunately, we have many guests with pet allergies and pet hair/dander is a constant issue. We are not accepting pets at this time. What do we need to bring? We supply toilet paper, hand soap, paper towel, dish soap, sponges, linens/blankets/pillows for beds (beds are made for guests) as well as towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc. We suggest bringing anything you feel you may need in addition and reviewing our amenities and supply list in its entirety prior to traveling to your rental. What activities are available in your area? The activities in our area are nearly entirely outdoor recreation activities. Blessed to be located in the Manistee National Forest we are lucky to be very close to some amazing hiking/fat biking trails such as the Big M and the North Country Trail. We are surrounded by lakes and rivers as well. Kayak or canoe on the Big Manistee, the Little Manistee or the Pine River. Watch the salmon run in the fall in small creeks or fish one of our many small lakes. We are also located only about a half hour from Lake Michigan and its beautiful beaches. Shopping is available in Manistee, Ludington, and Traverse City. Our area also has many ATV and Snowmobile trails and trail maps are available online and in the welcome book at our cabins. This cabin is located approx 20-35 minutes from Crystal Mountain and Caberfae Peaks for skiing and snowboarding. We are located 25 minutes from the Little River Casino and our area hosts the Hoxeyville Music Festival Annually as well! How far are you from...? Very clean place that was nicely decorated and perfect for the five of us. It was close to Caberfae which was what we wanted. We were there Valentine’s Day and the owner was kind of enough to leave some chocolates! One heads up, like many more rural areas the water is hard and not great for drinking so plan to bring some bottled. The house was very clean, very comfortable, very welcoming!!! We had everything we needed! Our host Alicia was the absolute best!! We did have to get in contact with her and she responded very promptly and took care of our needs. there are grocery stores close by,beaches and fishing . The fire area was well made with swinging benches and we loved having the use of the pond and kayaks. The property was located in a great area in the forest for us to ride motorcyles on the trails, as well as go sightseeing. Restaurants in the area, locally owned and not big chains. Kayaking/canoeing availability in summer. Would love to go in winter to take advantage of skiing and snowmobiling. The vacation home is gorgeous...think chic moden farmhouse. The master bath was like something out of a spa. The photos don't do it justice. It's a pleasant surprise when you walk in, and walk around. There are two wonderful living areas, a large dining table, and a modern and lovely kitchen, completely stocked with everything you would need to make and have a meal. The bedrooms were spacious, and very nice and comfortable! The outdoor space is fantastic! There's a great deck with multiple seating areas and a table. The fire pit is awesome...surrounded by porch style swings on frames. The gas grill was very useful. The pond was terrific for swimming, and the fountain was very pretty! Oh, and it's on 20 acres of land, with walking trails going through the forest. Our family loved the trails! It is a hidden gem inside an amazing national forest. The host was wonderful, and very attentive if we needed anything or had questions. I highly recommend this vacation spot! ##### Holly S. Remodeled in a farm house style, the property is comfortable and stylish in every regard. The outdoor space including fire pit and swings were so nice. The view of the pond and fountain were amazing. Less than 20 minute drive to ski at caberfae peaks. Also, we had a snowmobile rental, in which they delivered to us from Cadillac. The property is less than a mile to hit the snowmobile trails. Great time for some Family bonding! Alicia went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of (our 3 yr old accidentally locked a bedroom door and Alicia ran over to help get it unlocked).
