The second bedroom has a great view of the lake with a full bath, including a deep tub across the hall! The great room with oak dining table at one end has cozy furniture on the other to watch the flat screened TV with a ROKU, lots free or bring your paswords and use your subscriptions.Internet, So you can get your e-mail or use the wifi. There is a nice romantic gas stove in the living room for chilly nights! In the Sunroom there's a queen size pull out couch with gorgeous lake views . The kitchen is fully equipped with a refridgerator,dishwasher,microwave, stove and coffee maker, dishware and cookware. There's an attractive screened in porch, as well as an outside deck to set and relax,read a good book, or take a soothing nap.Nice fire pit outside! The granite steps lead down to the private dock where we supply kayaks or a canoe to explore the lake. Additionally We are dog lovers! There is a nicely fenced in area for your pooch to frolic and play! This is a four season home. The summers are spectacular but so is the Fall foliage season and we especially Love Winter! We enjoy to cross country ski and snowshoe from here. We are adjacent to the NYS snowmobile trail system. Gore Mnt ski center is a 40min direct drive and Oak Mnt Ski Center is 15 minutes north in Speculator. We also love to cross country ski and snowshoe here or go to Lap Land Lake 20 minutes south in Benson. The little attention to detail was commendable. The decorations were obviously changed for the seasons and not static year round. The house was extremely clean and everything was easy to use. The dog area outside was perfect for our pup. And, the view was beautiful. The lake was frozen with a fresh coating of powdery snow on top. Check-in/out was simple and communication with Debbie was quick and responsive. Also, being there in the winter, Mark came by twice to be sure the driveways were plowed and snow was removed from the stoop. You can tell that they are indeed “dog people” as there were little adornments alluding to as much (plus they had food and water bowls in the cupboard - luckily, because we forgot ours).We liked our stay so much that we booked again for a summer trip - see what the warm weather is like. The cold weather was great, and beautiful. But, something tells us that the sun on the water will be amazing! The fall colors were at their peak and that was so beautiful! And a bald eagle flew in and posed in a pine tree one evening. Amazing! There is a very good supply of things that are lacking at other places - toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, ice and even night lights. The furniture is comfortable and the overall lighting is good. I especially liked the fenced area for my dog. I really appreciated that the dock was still in place in October. Debby even texted me to see if I arrived safely and to check if everything was OK. We had everything we could need and the home was very clean. The views from the property are just amazing! Our dogs absolutely love this property and the fenced in yard for them is super convenient. There is so much to do in the area, but having the kayaks there for the lake gave us such a peaceful paddle in the early morning hours. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Mark and Debby are great hosts. Very good communication, very helpful, And willing to go the extra mile if needed. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need. It was very clean and comfortable. We were thankful for the central AC since it was a hot week. The lake was perfect for fishing and kayaking. The area has many hiking trails, two country stores on each end of Wells. All three of us agreed the setting and home were ideal ! I packed a small tree and some ornaments and when we walked in there stood a tree and the entire cabin was done for winter/Christmas.
