The perfect size for 12 of us to stay comfortably! The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils, the hot tub and fire pit were a blast, and there are beautiful trails all around the property!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with family ranging from 88 to 2 years old. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us. We loved walking the trails to the river, playing corn hole and foosball and relaxing in the hot tub. The house has many gathering spots and a beautiful deck and gorgeous views.
Overall, I was happy with staying at this property. My group enjoyed the spaciousness, and it was clean. There was a lack of initial toiletries on arrival. Never having enough towels for the group, ran out of dishwasher pods, etc.I give it a solid 4.5/5
We picked this cabin as we were celebrating my daughters 18th birthday and she had invited a group of her friends. The downstairs was the perfect place for them to hang out for a couple days. Great space! The cabin is huge. Has everything you'll need for your stay. Loved that it wasn't hard to get to and had a lot of space for parking. The trails were nice. We really had a nice couple days and really wished we had one more day there. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!
The house itself is very interesting and has a very eclectic and charming vibe. Lots of room and entertaining space. We really enjoyed the outdoor areas and playing ping pong and cornhole and sitting around the fire at night. The only issues we had were a lot of spiders and spider webs on the outside deck of the main level and the patio on the lower level and the 1/2 mile gravel road that leads to the property. It is two way traffic but only wide enough for one car and we had multiple instances where we came face to face with a car coming from the opposite direction. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
We loved this property surrounded by so much beauty. We stayed for 5 days with good family friends of ours and had 5 kids under 6 between us. We felt comfortable and had most everything we needed. We cooked a few times and the upstairs kitchen seemed equipped with everything we needed or else we improvised. Having so much space allowed us to spread out when necessary. Our kiddos LOVED the exterior and especially visiting the sheep neighbors. We also had an Easter egg hunt for our kids on the property and they loved every second. Directions to the property were clear and it wasn’t bad after figuring it out the first time. It’s much easier in the daytime I will say. You should for sure bring extra toilet paper and paper towels and we ended up buying pump hand soap because we were supplied with tiny bar soap that you’d see in a hotel. Overall we would come back and enjoyed our stay near Asheville!
It was satisfactory for our use. The natural setting is great. And the balconies and patios made our stay quite comfortable. In general, cleanliness was lacking but we could live with it. Washcloth/towel distribution was a bit uneven from room to room.
We loved this amazing property for a girls bachelorette weekend. Twelve guests fit very comfortably and the home was perfect for us. We were 20 min from downtown. Would recommend!
This property was spectacular for our Christmas with family from Texas and Arkansas. Hiking trails on the property were a bonus ! The kitchen was well stocked and the ability to use the hot tub and fireplace was key in the 1° weather during the polar vortex this Christmas. Highly recommend!
Our time here will be unforgettable. The spaciousness of the home is wonderfully deceiving and the dual kitchens and laundry were an added bonus for our large group. The property itself was amazing in terms of its setting, privacy and tranquility. The amenities the home provides made our stay even more enjoyable. The experience this place enabled our family was extraordinary and the memories made will be cherished forever.
Home was sized well for 10 guests. Walking distance to a few cafes and a nice restaurant/bar. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. There were previous reviews of their not being enough hand towels, and that observation remains. We bought extra towels that maybe the host can reuse. Same goes for plates, glasses, mugs, etc. We weren’t able to have a full sit-down meal due to there not being at least 10 of everything. Breaker for the AC unit tripped on the 3rd floor, and we weren’t able to reset the breaker due to panel likely being on the Basement (locked away from guests). Dishwasher did not work, so, we had to handwash all of our dishes. We hope this was just a maintenance issue and not a permanent condition. Many of these observations aren’t attributed to the permanent condition or layout of the home. We all thought it was great. Reason I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars is due to a lack of basic provisions, and hopefully isolated maintenance issues that can likely be addressed for future guests. Overall, happy with our stay.
Great size for our 3 families totaling 12 inside and outside. We love to be outside every minute and the huge covered deck was awesome for us as was the walking trails outside our door.
We really enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. House was very large with plenty of space for our 9 people. Downstairs does need it's own mini split AC unit. Gets pretty hot during the day without AC even with the bedroom doors open. I would also would recommend a microwave in the downstairs kitchen. Otherwise a very nice place
