Overall, way better than staying at a hotel, which is what I have done in the past. I will definitely be coming back. The price is perhaps slightly higher than other short term rentals in the area, but you definitely get what you pay for. As a bonus, the neighbors are great and the neighborhood is charming. Only a short drive to Granite Peak and all that the cozy town of Wausau has to offer! The home is very well appointed. The host clearly has an eye for design and has taken great pride in styling the home. From the cute wine fridge to the green backsplash tile, just wonderfully curated as well as clean. The kitchen has every amenity. The TV and sound system are fabulous. There’s even a dimmer for a nightlight in the bathroom. The “welcome” binder was well thought out and very informative. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and we felt very safe while we walked them in the neighborhood. The hosts were very easy to deal with and communication was concise and accommodating.
