The apartment is only a few minutes walk from Watkins Glen State Park a must see landscape! Saunter down the hill and you are right on among the many restaurants and shops in downtown. Hop in your car and drive only a few minutes to either side of Seneca Lake and go tasting at one of the areas signature wineries, breweries, distilleries and cideries. This one bedroom apartment was renovated in 2016 updating all appliances and light fixtures and a new bathroom - giving this historical property an overall freshening up! This is an upstairs apartment giving it amazing views of Seneca Lake and the quaint village of Watkins Glen. A large deck is available for your use with a grill and multiple locations for seating. This apartment has one bedroom with a queen sized bed. In the living room we have a full sized futon. We also have a full sized blow up air mattress. This apartment can comfortably sleep 4 in the bed and with the living room sleeping arrangements. Amenities include all lines and towels - bathroom products such as toilet paper and shampoo and conditioner. Full stocked kitchen with pots, and dishes and silverware and so much more. Everything that we needed (and many things that we didn't need) was supplied. The bed was very comfortable. The owner is a great man who takes great pride in his community and his properties. The location is great if you can handle a hill, and it wasn't a challenge for us, and it within walking distance to town, and we loved walking to nearby restaurants and bars. Even the visitor's center was walkable. There was live entertainment in the square one evening (we walked there ;-). If you are looking for somewhere luxurious, this isn't the place for you, but it is a lovely historical home that has today's amenities (washer/dryer, air conditioning, flat screen TV, etc.). Caitlin's check-in instructions were clear and concise. The apartment was well appointed so we could cook breakfast each morning and also had a lot of thoughtful touches like extra toiletries and over the counter medicines. It was close enough for us to walk into town for dinner and not have to worry about parking. Two things to note for future travelers: 1) if you are a light sleeper, you will be able to hear the traffic coming in and out of Watkins Glen even over the hum of the window air conditioners; and 2) there is very little sink space in the bathroom to lay out toiletries which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and would recommend Caitlin's apartment to others. ##### Nicole H. It’s difficult to summarize all the wonderful amenities this property has to offer in so few words without boring you, but this was a great location and place to stay. Caitlin and her mom Pam were available, helpful, and invested in making our stay perfect. There was not one thing that we could have needed during this stay that they didn’t provide… except maybe foot massages after our days of adventures! Every kitchen, bathroom, and first aid item you could possibly imagine was provided. It was so clean and quaint. It is much bigger and cuter than the photos show, imo. There are two private decks to enjoy and see the lake from! Caitlin has brochures describing local attractions but the list of personal favorites with descriptions was really nice. I don’t think you could find a better location from which to walk throughout the town to visit many shops and restaurants and Watkins Glen State Park.
