Overall this is a great log cabin that is definitely isolated. Beautiful views of Chief Mountain. It is located in a forested area so expect some bugs. If the weather is supposed to be hot, pack fans as it it gets quite hot in the cabin.
Good fishing lake nearby and a fun river at Beezer to play in. Nice and clean water and very few people at the river so we went there several days. Kids loved it.
We did have some plumbing issues with some black stuff coming from the tub taps and hot water was in and out, but it was manageable.
Also the dishwasher leaked and the kitchen faucet stopped working during our stay. The owner was quick to react and sent a plumber out to fix the problem the next day.
Overall, the trip was like being off the grid. We had basically no cell service (just in case that is important to you). There is wifi, but is limited as stated on rental page. There is a landline in the cabin if you had to call someone.
The one thing we would have liked was having the grassy area near the fire pit cut as per pictures, so we could we could pass a ball around and play some outdoor games. The owner did let us know, after inquiry, it is normally maintained by a company, but due to covid wasn’t happening now.
The fire pit was great and we enjoyed the walking the trails on the property. Also saw a family of deer two mornings in the yard.
Overall, a few hiccups, but a nice getaway.
