Watchet Cottage

  • Notre gîte au cœur de l'ancienne ville portuaire de Watchet, jouissant d'une histoire maritime colorée datant de plus de deux mille ans.

    Niché entre le parc national d'Exmoor et les collines de Quantock, c'est un chalet confortable pour les couples ou les familles pour profiter de la ville et des environs avec tous les magasins locaux, de vrais pubs de bière, le port, la plage et le West Somerset Steam Railway à votre porte.

    Le chalet peut accueillir quatre personnes, avec une chambre double et une chambre lits jumeaux (l'un des lits simples peut être rangé pour faire de la place pour votre propre lit bébé) avec une salle de bains familiale et un vestiaire en bas offrant de nombreuses installations.

    Il a une cuisine moderne bien équipée avec double canapé en cuir et une télévision à écran plat dans le salon pour des soirées agréables. Avec WiFi également disponible pour télécharger des photos de vos aventures de la journée.

    L'extérieur est un jardin privé meublé dans la cour, idéal pour dîner en plein air ou tout simplement pour profiter d'un verre de vin après une longue journée d'exploration.

    Un parking est également fourni, veuillez également noter que pour minimiser l'impact sur l'environnement de courts séjours dans notre chalet, nous ne fournissons pas de serviettes

We had a lovely stay at this cottage—it was clean and well-suited for a small family, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was great, making it easy to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. The owners were incredibly considerate and maintained excellent communication throughout, always replying very promptly.

Lovely property for a weekend away. There were only two minor issues - the hot tap wasn’t working in the bathroom sink and there’s nowhere to hang a hand towel in the downstairs cloakroom. Not big issues and easily rectified.

Spring Break

Had a lovely stay in Watchet. Friendly village. Highly recommend the Busk Stop pub for local ciders. We walked from Watchet to Minehead and came back on the steam train. Cosy house and just right for the three of us.

We will be back!

The property was clean. A short walk from the harbour. The property was dog friendly, unlike some other places which say that they are but blatantly aren’t. We respected the owners wishes for our dog not to go upstairs but he was more than happy in the courtyard garden until we took him out for lots of walks. The people of Watchet were so very friendly. We will be returning soon.

Not clean

On arrival we were unable to access the key from the safe with the code we were given and had to contact the owner. Fridge and worktops were dirty the floor hadn't been mopped and was sticky .This was very disappointing as there is meant to be extra cleaning with covid!!!. The plugs in both the sinks and the bath didn't work.Every time you make a slice of toast or open the oven door the smoke alarm goes off. Very disapointed with the standard of this property.

Whatchet cottage

Lovely cottage, very clean. Slight problem with text/email for details about key but the owner came down to us to help which was much appreciated 😃 perfect holiday home. Will use it again in future 😁

Everything was as described...very clean and with everything you need for a short break Lovely little place Watchet too....Pebbles tavern a must as is Dunster.

Lovely spot, great access to everything

Great property, cozy and clean and in an amazing location. Perfect for our stay. Loved that you could quite literally step out of the door and onto Swain street (the main street in town), while still being quiet and isolated in the small gated court. Would have preferred to receive the check in details a little sooner and would have liked to have the lack of towels explicitly spelled out ahead of time. We did not notice this until the check in message when we were already in town, luckily we have family in town so we were able to borrow some. Other than that, perfect stay and will definitely be using this spot on our next visit to Watchet.
