The place had all we needed and plenty of space. The location was super peaceful and quiet if that is what you need, you'll be certain to get it here. There are two things to be aware of though: the lake has no fish and the last one mile of road is a REALLY bumpy dirt road. The host, Jay, went above and beyond with this place... it's beautiful, quiet and secluded and covered all of our needs. He even left fresh salmon for us to try. If you're looking for a quiet get-a-way this is the place for you. Jay was excellent about responding when I reached out to him and gaining entry was seamless. The location is ideal if you're wanting to hit some trails, visit Independence Mine up Hatcher Pass, or even a trip up to Denali is just three hours away...not bad at all. The apartment is beautiful, central to the few things we had planned during our trip, and was the perfect retreat for our vacation. Very private, beautiful retreat that was both kid and adult friendly. Jason is a great host that is very responsive and easy to contact if needed.
