I was very disappointed we didn't take advantage of the kayaks etc. It really was a lovely place to rest and play if that is what you come for. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The on-site owners were very nice and responsive. The place had all we needed and plenty of space. There are two things to be aware of though: the lake has no fish and the last one mile of road is a REALLY bumpy dirt road. The host, Jay, went above and beyond with this place... it's beautiful, quiet and secluded and covered all of our needs. He even left fresh salmon for us to try. If you're looking for a quiet get-a-way this is the place for you. Jay was excellent about responding when I reached out to him and gaining entry was seamless. The location is ideal if you're wanting to hit some trails, visit Independence Mine up Hatcher Pass, or even a trip up to Denali is just three hours away...not bad at all.
