For your convenience there are two full kitchens the main kitchen includes a wine cooler. The house has a total of two washers and dryers located on the upper and English basement sleep level. The Upper bedroom level sleeps six: One Queen - One Full and One twin with twin trundle. All fully dressed beds with additional linen provided. The English basement accommodates four: One Queen bed - One pull out twin sofa - One pull-out twin day bed If driving - the back driveway with roll-up door accommodates one vehicle. The back yard is completely secure, bricked with charcoal grill and spacious deck. Charcoal and fluid provided. The house has three and half baths. The half bath located on the main floor. Two glass door baths with high pressure steam and rains showers. The master has a rain shower and soaking tub. FIOS TV - HBO - Showtime - Internet - WiFi and NETFLIX are provided. The home is located several blocks from all Metro access - Walking four short blocks to Blue/Orange/Silver Lines or One short bus ride to Union Station Red Line. The property is very clean and well kept. The decor is stylish, the appliances are new and the showers are spa-like. The beds are very comfortable. The location is ideal and lends itself to inexpensive ride share options to all visitor attractions. With 4 bedrooms 3.5 baths, two full kitchens and two sets of washer/dryers, this property provides everything needed for sleeping and entertaining. It was a great spot to host our group. The owners stocked the kitchen for us with breakfast items and there plenty of towels and blankets, which was very appreciated since we did not find a grocery store nearby. Our main concern was the location of the property. While it is 1/2 mile walk from the metro, it is located in a neighborhood that, while decent, was not close to any restaurants or stores. The property manager left extremely helpful instructions to check in and start using the array of smart devices (remotes, google, thermostat, etc.). While decor is minimalist, it is a great home, and we were frankly shocked at the size of the home - it's REALLY BIG!! We could have easily had a second family and then some. The private parking, while difficult to get in to due to cars that look pretty permanently parked in the alley, was fricking fantastic. CAUTIONARY NOTE FOR COOKS - this property is woefully inadequate for cooking supplies, so if you plan to make your own meals you'll want to bring necessities. Some examples of items I'd expect to find, but didn't: (1) There were only 6 plates and 4 coffee mugs. (2) No colander to strain pasta; (3) No sharp knives; (4) No serving utensils (large spoons / forks, etc.); (5) no cereal or medium size bowls; (6) No oils; (7) tablespoons. We had a difficult time preparing food due to missing numerous items, but frankly the stay was still worth it!! The host was extremely thoughtful, there was juice, bagels, coffee, coffee mate, and plenty of water when we arrived. My husband, who grew up in DC, and I organized our vacation around a family reunion and a Nationals home stand. The minute we walked in the door we felt like we were home. The house has everything, was so comfortable and lovely décor – lots of thought and care with every detail and no expense was spared with appliances and renos. We had 10 staying in the house with another 10 coming for short visits – everyone was comfortably accommodated – the beds so comfortable it was hard to get up each day. Age range was 6 to 86 and our guests were from NJ, WV, VA & PA. We didn’t have time for much cooking but took advantage of close markets and Grub Hub. The house has a lovely patio in back. Parking was easy for all of us. Nationals Park and the Mall were easily accessible – we used Uber & Lyft but buses and the metro are nearby. The whole gang of us Ubered to the ball game on Saturday night. Our hosts were quick to respond to any of our needs. We would have loved to meet them in person as they were very warm and friendly. We would stay again in a heartbeat and we will definitely book this lovely home again on our next visit and we will not wait 12 years! ##### Kristin W.
