The location was wonderful for exploring DC - close enough to walk to many things and convenient to all the public transport options. Even before booking, Andrew was incredibly helpful. Upon booking, he sent me a travel guide with all the pertinent information about the house, transportation, tourist spots, restaurants/bars, and activities going on in the area. I was really impressed -- I've never received anything like that before. My parents arrived a day before me and they are incredibly hard to please. They FaceTimed me to show me that the house was even better than the pictures on the Vrbo listing! So yes, it was a beautiful, quaint home. It's in a beautiful, quiet area that is within walking distance of many restaurants. (I highly, highly recommend Ethiopic and Sidamo Coffe!) It's also a \~25-minute walk or short metro ride to the National Mall. Overall, it was an incredible stay and Andrew was an incredible host. The rental is located minutes walk from the Supreme Court, Capitol Building, and Union Station. A few small markets are within walking distance and the neighborhood is beautiful. The home itself is well appointed and set up for spending at least some time at the home relaxing.
