It was described as a 2-bedroom, but it was actually just one bedroom and a cot in the basement. There was no real kitchen—only a fridge and microwave, and no sink, which made things a bit inconvenient. Also, the ceilings were quite low, around 6 feet, so not ideal for tall people. We picked this location because my son needed to be seen at Children’s National for an appointment with Pulmonary. The location was great and less than 5 miles away! The water pressure was really good and shower necessities were supplied too. There was street parking, but the host offered us a better alternative behind her the home (the rental does also have a separate entrance). When we arrived it was downpour raining, but the host still got an umbrella to help us out anyway. I do believe there are more amenities than what is actually listed for this rental. The place was about 20 minutes from the National Mall depending on traffic and stop lights. It's not the nicest part of DC but it's not terrible. Check in was pretty smooth except we didn't have a keypad code on the app so we had to message the host, but he responded quickly and we were able to get in the house easily. The place was just as expected. It was clean and a good place to stay for the price. The only thing we found odd was the bathroom had a window to a laundry room in it. We didn't see anyone in there but it might give others some peace of mind if there was a shade or some kind of covering over it in the future. The host was very accomodating and interested in our satisfaction.
